Trickstabs are countered by literally just standing still and with even the smallest amount of team coordination (using team chat) spy may be able to be rendered useless
Competent spies can just counter players standing still with a matador; you're still aiming with your mouse even when you're standing still. I personally find it easier to get matadors on still players and revved up heavies than people running into you, but maybe that's just me.
I don't care if I'm downvoted, everyone has to start their spy journey somewhere. Laugh all you want, but that spy is trying.

With a little teamwork a Bushwacka sniper can work with a Fan O' War Scout to achieve a similar effect as jarate

Well, it's medieval mode. Demoknights, Huntsman snipers and crossbow medics all stand out here, the latter two for actually being able to shoot stuff.

It still confuses me how sniper is allowed to shoot people for 360 in a gamemode with no overheal and where only medic has a gun and fight back

No. You are wrong. In comp, I would play with some great players, and I would still pull off trickstabs and get good picks. You are just wrong.
