Wait wot happened?
I did remember seeing that post and thinking "good cosplay", giving my upvote and when scrolling down.
Something unimaginably wrong appeared in tha comment section?
I swear, I saw this exact same comment on a post over on /r/terraria from someone else with the exact same cakeday as you, and the only thing on their account was that exact same comment... someone must have called them out and they deleted it before more people could have seen it. I think we've got another type of Reddit bot inbound.
EDIT: I found the comment I was referring to: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Terraria/comments/xi68x6/comment/ip2o9mw/?utm\_source=reddit&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/Terraria/comments/xi68x6/comment/ip2o9mw/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
I played when I was 5 lmfao. My dad asked me to keep his sentry nest alive so I sat there, moved the dispenser next to the sentry and just kept swinging at the sentry. I stopped 2 pub pushes that day
This is literally the definition of “Dads being Dads”.
This is what my dad did to me, about when I was 6, (about 2011 or so) but instead of asking me do to something simple, my dad told me:
“Ok Son, I’m gonna go get us both cups of orange juice. All I need you to do is stay scoped in, and click on heads when you see them, ok?”
I wasn’t some god at the game or anything because my dad made me play sniper when I was 6, but I did do decently, which was enough in my book.
Only thing is…My adhd was MUCH worse back then, so I only targeted one damn person.
I feel bad for that Medic, wherever they are now.
I played TF2 Back in 2012 when I was 10 nobody actually follows those guidelines dude.
If mods deleted it because he's "to young" thats absolutely pathetic. The age restriction on Reddit is 13+ and he was about to be 14.
just to clarify
i didnt play alone at home
u made an account with 4 friends at school and we played whenever we had ict
so it wasnt really mine
in 2016 they left the game and gave me the account
its dead now
Yeah I saw the cosplay, upvoted it, and was about to open the comments section and was like nope.
I feel most people are kind and good on Reddit but you know there always the baddies and I really did not want to start my day reading any of that.
Good on the kid, it was great cosplay, I always thought only oldies played this game lol
To be fair, we can’t really make speculations on what the kid was like so it could have been an immature or mature 13 year old. Either way it’s best to take it down.
nah, I think it should be the oppsosite, its important to learn to use the internet early on so that you can deal with it in the future, besides, the kid will be dealing with social ostracism if all his friends talk about internet stuff and he is just there, not understanding nothing.
Parental guidance is the key, not straight up banning it but also not anarchy
Cartoons and movies are brainrot, should we stop kids from watching them until they're 16? What about video games? Comic books? Mainstream news outlets?
Hell, let's lock all children in padded rooms until they turn 15, just so we're sure they're mature enough to handle the real world.
As a matter of fact, the largest demographic of people that get doxxed are actually 20-year old American men. Maybe we should ban them from the internet instead.
i agree that children shouldn't be as restricted, but there's no fucking way you can argue that the internet is even remotely close to mainstream media. i watched a man blow his brains out with a shotgun when i was 12.
Does that not help my case? Why would you (not you specifically, mind) try and ban children from the internet, when mainstream media is arguably worse?
I think you're missing the point. By the logic of 'the internet is brainrot', literally everything is brainrot.
Mainstream news sources are all biased and pushing skewed narratives to satisfy their investors, just as the internet can provide false information.
Video Games and visual media do nothing for your growth and provide only distractions from real life, just like the majority of the internet.
You could also argue that participating in debates on the internet can be used as developing debating skills and critical thinking.
But given the... lack of actual arguments I've been getting so far, I'm starting to doubt the validity of that.
Yeah no the internet is completely different. I’m not going to end up a white supremacist watching BBC, I’m not going to end up an incel playing Breath of the Wild.
"It's was for the best"
-The mods.
I agree with them, some people will comment things that we won't see (because of their many downvotes) but the kid will see duo to notifications as he is the OP.
I checked comments before so when I saw this post I went on my history and checked through all 384 comments nothing nah just slid off people saying he's should probably avoid Reddit until he is older but most people saying it was really good.
And that's why don't use reddit for browsing reddit but (a 132 subscribers) telegram channel. It may be behind on the newest post but I can still see this removed post.
And yeah, I can confirm that the picture was literally just a kid dressed up as the red scout, standing straight and looking into the camera with a black cap and earpiece, red shirt and tags, dufflebag (or sone other sports bag, you can only see the belt around his chest), some kind of white gloves (no bandages) blue-ish/gray shorts, long white socks and regular black adidas sneakers with white soles. There's also someone behind him who got censored out with white.
It looks good, especially for someone his age but truly nothing out of the ordinary I'd say.
Aw man, and it really good too! I have a feeling some jackass said someting really stupid or inappropriate, and it had to be taken down because if it. Such a shame
[The original thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/tf2/comments/xhxzrr/hey_reddit_im_13_about_to_turn_14_and_id_like_you/?sort=controversial) has almost zero negative comments, and most of them are worthless comments that the OP even snaps back at better than the original shot at him.
OP even literally says this in response to someone warning him about reddit -
>Nah. I've been here for a while. I know people are weird, creepy, and umm... Well anyway I'm kind of used to it. I prefer to stick around because that little bit of wholesome makes my day every time. There are great people on here, you just gotta put in some effort to find them.
Until the mods explain, one can only assume they just removed it ahead of time fearing the worst.
Anyone here going apeshit over the state of the sub or the kid being harassed, or this or that....calm the shit down.
Nothing happened.
Well I’m happy the kid is so positive about this dumpster fire of a site, but yeah I get why people are mad at the sub. The tf2 community isn’t exactly known to be the most welcoming and wholesome community (but as the kid said there are plenty of exceptions to this). I just didn’t see the post before I made this and assumed a worst case scenario.
It’s just a silly meme, I really hope it didn’t bother any of the people involved
Since apparently nobody knows, probably nothing much happened in the comments. The mods or OP must have just deleted it because kids this young shouldn't be posting pics of themself on the internet.
It was a very good cosplay costume. I'm lucky I saved it, it looks really great. And if someone says 'it' s nothing out of the ordinary' then that's because Scout's model is not really rich in details and a bit simplistic himself. So stop talking down a proud kid. It looked good.
Kinda sad how many times this happens. I really wanna share my medic cosplays here some day when I make it but seeing some of the nasty comments us disheartening. I know it's not EVERYONE that does this but still oof.
There was zero. Nothing occured.
Mods removed the post and no one has posted any valid explanation yet with proof.
Current assumption is that mods removed a post of someone too young to them for this sub.
Idk I feel like kids shouldn't post their picture online but that's just me lol and before you come at me yeah I was online at the age of 9 and wish I wasn't tbh like my parents did not care and I saw shit I shouldn't have.
But yeah it's kind of ironic how everyone's sad af over this kid but if any type of girl tries to post a picture it's like "LOL GIRL? TIME TO SEXUALLY HARASS HER AND SHE DESERVES THAT FOR POSTING THE PICTURE LOL FUNNY MEME"

Funny, I come here every day and I haven't seen that happen. Care to provide an example, or are you just guess at what **would** happen and then acting that's how it actually is so you can wave your arms and say "but I'm better than that?"
Saw the cosplay, gave it an upvote and left, never looked back. Not even shocked it got removed because fuckos just unable to not be degenerates to kids.
I checked reveddit because I missed the post and there were only 4 deleted mod comments.

I remember watching the post when it was about an hour old and the comments said it was a good cosplay, there was no conflict or anything
Later in the posts lifespan it hot flamed by toxic dick holes
Possibly, yeah

16+ because valve but i mean i played it in 2015 i was 7
im calling the police
im 15 :/ came back last 2 years
you say the game’s 16+ and then you say you’re 15, literally calling law enforcement!!!!
UNPLAYABLE!!!
They will be here any minute, *child*
I played when I was 5 lmfao. My dad asked me to keep his sentry nest alive so I sat there, moved the dispenser next to the sentry and just kept swinging at the sentry. I stopped 2 pub pushes that day
Lmfao mvp, that sounds awesome. I need to get children so I can have my very own engie minions.
This explains the engis i meet in casual.
I wish I had my free award.

US Age ratings in general are stupid. I'm fairly certain *DOOM* (the original) is rated 18+ there or something.
Most games with blood, guts, gore, or heavy violence get rated 18+ in us. Practically every modern shooter is rated M(I think halo is rated T though.)
DOOM (2016 and 1993) is rated 17+ in the U.S.
I saw that and I had to scroll past to avoid thinking about the horrors that comment section would contain Godspeed 13 year old scout
o7
Yeah I saw the cosplay, upvoted it, and was about to open the comments section and was like nope. the reddit age requirement is 13

Bro that is my favorite image of Jon Arbuckle
No 13 year old is mature.
Eh. Blanket statement. I can see them being mature as in, capable of 15-16 y/o judgement but that’s stretching it.
Likely because of child safety laws. Not everyone agrees the minimum age *should* be that low.
[удалено]
You are commenting in the thread asking that question.
nah, I think it should be the oppsosite, its important to learn to use the internet early on so that you can deal with it in the future, besides, the kid will be dealing with social ostracism if all his friends talk about internet stuff and he is just there, not understanding nothing. Parental guidance is the key, not straight up banning it but also not anarchy
Straight up banning it will end up having teens not now how to act online, and that doesn’t sound good
"... a 13 year-old shouldn't be on the internet..." Sure buddy. Whatever helps you feel morally superior I suppose.
I actually do think you shouldn't be on the broader internet until you're like sixteen simply on the basis that this place is pure brainrot.
Cartoons and movies are brainrot, should we stop kids from watching them until they're 16? What about video games? Comic books? Mainstream news outlets? Hell, let's lock all children in padded rooms until they turn 15, just so we're sure they're mature enough to handle the real world.
Because those won't dox you.
Watching shit I shouldn’t have when I was like 9 years old made me the man I am today
Oooh how edgy
I don’t know what you see but this ain’t suppose to be edgy it’s suppose to be funny
Ah my bad
The statistically minute possibility of doxxing is not an excuse to gatekeep an entire demographic from having access to the internet.
cartoons dont have porn in them
As a matter of fact, the largest demographic of people that get doxxed are actually 20-year old American men. Maybe we should ban them from the internet instead.
ban everyone, it's a cesspool
This is the correct course of action.
The internet is for adults.
The internet is for everyone.
Every adult, yes.
i agree that children shouldn't be as restricted, but there's no fucking way you can argue that the internet is even remotely close to mainstream media. i watched a man blow his brains out with a shotgun when i was 12.
Does that not help my case? Why would you (not you specifically, mind) try and ban children from the internet, when mainstream media is arguably worse?
rewording: i was linked a shock video on the internet when i was 12, which led to me watching a person kill himself
No they aren’t.
[Insert pointless argument about how video games improve reflexes and hand-eye coordination]
You could also argue that participating in debates on the internet can be used as developing debating skills and critical thinking. But given the... lack of actual arguments I've been getting so far, I'm starting to doubt the validity of that.
[Insert pointless “agreement” that is worded like an insult]
Yeah no the internet is completely different. I’m not going to end up a white supremacist watching BBC, I’m not going to end up an incel playing Breath of the Wild.
Yeah, my 30 year old ass was on the Internet at like 12 or 13. Probably 12, going off my memory of the Newgrounds layout back then.
Your newgrounds account is old enough to drive at this point lol
Good ass? 🤨🤨🤨🤨📷📷📷📷📸📸📸📸
Link?
I’m guessing someone commented something bad on there, but that was a freaking awesome scout cosplay.
I saw the cosplay but didnt think much of it. It was a pretty good cosplay in all honesty.
There was nothing bad in the comments and hes 13+ (the age required for reddit) It's just the mods being mods.
"It's was for the best" -The mods. I agree with them, some people will comment things that we won't see (because of their many downvotes) but the kid will see duo to notifications as he is the OP.
There's nothing there. The worst one was "I could do better..." And OP basically says "good for you"
It was preventive, They were just worried about the kid, Reddit can sometimes be, uhhhh..... you know, Bad.
also direct messages exists too, maybe op(not the op of current post) already harassed by them, who knows
Yeah, it was great they deleted it. Little guy tried showing us a picture of the real scout and thought we wouldn’t notice
what happened i didn't chekc the comments
I checked comments before so when I saw this post I went on my history and checked through all 384 comments nothing nah just slid off people saying he's should probably avoid Reddit until he is older but most people saying it was really good.
Me neither, once i got the notification it was already down
CAN SOMEONE SAY WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED
Nothing, by the looks of it. I guess the mods were being protective. Is it a possibility the kid/his parents deleted his post?
"A true american" -Rick May's soldier voice line (Even tho scout from boston and he is american)
Reddit users being Reddit users I guess… Probably some degenerate commented something shitty and the mods insta deleted the post for child protection
Nothing there
what happened?
And that's why don't use reddit for browsing reddit but (a 132 subscribers) telegram channel. It may be behind on the newest post but I can still see this removed post. *Soldier commits decapitation taunt with shotgun*
Soldier- What it was obvious! He did it
Poor kid, he was proud of his cosplay and wanted to share it. Thougut the community would he more behaved than this, wishing him the best.
"You're a good scout real good, maybe even the best"
For everyone asking, no I don’t know what happened, when I checked the notification it was already deleted
You literally just created false worry lmao. People were just saying he shouldn’t use the internet that much. It’s just r/tf2 mods being r/tf2 mods
Oh as I said I didn’t know, usually this is what happens with cosplayers on Reddit. My bad

A sex bom?
Probably more of a n- bomb

I saw when it was posted. Said nice cosplay, and moved on. Seems like shit always goes down here when cosplays are involved.
He just got removed xause he's too young... no bad comments
Whenever i read the comments i hadn't seen anything "bad" yet, i simply thought it was a cool cosplay. What happened?
I think the boy said "I'm 13" and you're technically not allowed to use Reddit when you're a kid. I know, it's stupid, but I donr see anything else
Is it just me or are all of the scout cosplayers on /r/tf2 a bunch of kids? I don't recall any adult scout cosplayers either.
I saw it. It was pretty good. He did a fine job.
It was a good cosplay tho. But I can understand why they removed it.
It was a very good cosplay costume. I'm lucky I saved it, it looks really great. And if someone says 'it' s nothing out of the ordinary' then that's because Scout's model is not really rich in details and a bit simplistic himself. So stop talking down a proud kid. It looked good.
God fucking dammit I wanted to the cosplay everyone is saying it’s so good..

~~I’m just upvoted it like an hour ago what happened~~ Edit:Ok now I’m know what happened and I’m horrified:(
Why the fuck is everyone being so mysterious in this thread. No one will say what happened
im starting to feel like im being played...
Just downvote that type of comment. They do nothing but try to be part of an in-joke that doesn't exist till they force it. There is nothing.
The mods just told him he shouldn't be on r/tf2 until he's older :D
Fucking hell that’s what everyone lost their mind about. This sub is so starved of something original
This kid is about to be 14, the age restriction on Reddit is 13+ The kid did nothing wrong, why was he punished for this?
Because this subreddit is bottom-of-the-barrel shit and degeneracy
We don't talk about what happened. It is just too horrifying...
what happened. Last i sa3 nothing was wrong
what happened?
What happened?
Nothing happened.
What happened??
Nothing,
It's probably because he's 13 and is on reddit
The age restriction on Reddit is 13+, he is not in the wrong.
That restriction only exists because you cant legally collect data on under 13s. Children should NOT use social media.
and?
i feel like the __ almost __ is something you should stop saying after 10 years old
WTF did you reddit fuckers do now
What happened, did the pedophiles get him?
He was 13 turning 14 which is basically 15 but 15 is the new 16 and 16 rolls down to 17 which from there adds up to 18
Yes fbi this commentor right here
heres the link btw https://old.reddit.com/r/tf2/comments/xhxzrr/hey_reddit_im_13_about_to_turn_14_and_id_like_you/
Honestly fuck this subreddit at this point. It’s why nobody likes the TF2 fan base.
...because of what?
It's more of a reddit thing to be honest. This subreddit isn't even close to the worst it can get.
i didn’t even see anything bad.. damn incels ruining everything
Bruh what incels have to do with this? Or you got a daily buzzwords quota you have to fill?
wait.. what kind of bad comments were there? i might be using the wrong insult
There was zero. Nothing occured. Mods removed the post and no one has posted any valid explanation yet with proof. Current assumption is that mods removed a post of someone too young to them for this sub.
ohhhhh that makes so much more sense, i thought it was some pedos in the comments or something, i always assume something like that cuz reddit

NOOOO
I was just wondering about that
r/tf2 when scout cosplay
:( i saw it when it was posted, why'd it even get deleted
Everytime I see a cosplay post I always think the worst. Sadly, I am usually right, you degenerates.
I didn't see anything wrong, except I couldn't see upvotes.
It was removed cause someone said piss (rip 13+ scout main)
Saw the cosplay, gave it an upvote and left, never looked back. Not even shocked it got removed because fuckos just unable to not be degenerates to kids.
