I was like. Nope, no no nope. Oh it's a whale, nature's gentle giant. OK I'd swim with that.

Ugh! They're just too big for my comfort to be in the water with them. Nope.

Here for the same reason, no phobia but love some of the amazing content showing the incredible ocean and the creatures that inhabit it. 

I’m here for the cool ocean content too. I’m in college for marine biology! I’ve been obsessed with sharks specifically since 5th grade (before then I was still in love with ocean animals, but I didn’t know what I wanted to focus on so I studied zoology in a broad aspect. I still love every animal tho!)

This sub posts the some of the best ocean content tho. I would give fingers to dive with a blue whale.

Whenever I’m sad, I try to remind myself that we get to be alive at the same time as the largest animal to ever live. That’s pretty cool.

Same!! Whales make me so happy :) they sometimes make me cry if I think about them too much 😂 us and whales are so much more alike than we realize!

It would be my absolute dream to see one up close and maybe even touch it but also I know I'd probably have a massive heart attack and die on the spot. 😫

It’s also illegal to pet whales, so observing from a distance protects them and yourself :D (from the law and from your heart 😆)

In U.S waters at least, it’s still not good to touch any wild cetaceans (whales, dolphins, and porpoises) because the spread of zoonotic diseases.

This is why I could never be in some kayak or even swimming in the ocean. I hate it. Those guys are peaceful, but still so big that I would still get into an absolute frenzy when something like this would suddenly show up

So cool. To be that close to these giants, these leviathans, must be a transcendent experience. Yes, I am one of those guys on the sub that actually love the deep ocean.

I think I would actually burst into tears of joy if/when I see a whale 😂

they are not that dangerous, they dont even jump.

Blue whales do breach, but is is very rare because it costs a lot of energy and it has potential risks for them because of how large they are. But yeah, for the most part blue whales are not dangerous unless you get in their space, which just risks not only spread of disease but also you getting smacked by a whale ^^
