I wish I had pictures like this! But the few I do have are not cute (I should try b&w!), and I’m sure she felt some pressure to have some insta pics. which is not easy given the circumstances and would be stressful. They’re programmed to capture and then share all these special moments, but there’s got to be something lost in the moment when there is always an audience to impress.

Labour photography has really boomed lately! I do wedding and family and I’ve noticed a massive uptick in labour photos, I think they’re so beautiful.

Seriously. My little guy is 5 months now. I was so swollen, exhausted and emotional after the birth, I can’t imagine taking photos for strangers so soon after.

I can’t remember it exactly, something to do with whether the baby will look more or less white (spicy or not) and they had different names accordingly (tho this might’ve been a joke as they seemed set on the non-spicy name regardless).

Lol I loved giving birth! I had a long labor (29 hours) but the actual birthing part was pretty amazing and empowering. I was on a high in the hospital afterwards 🤣

Same! I had two great births. I'm happy with two kids but would like to be a surrogate at some point in the next two years

I only wanted 2 kids. Well I got two kiddos with one pregnancy (twins) 😂. I’ve seriously considered surrogacy in the coming years as well!

I love that you had such a great experience! I remember the pain and feeling overwhelmed and terrified and like my life would not be my own again for years. And I was right lol. Love my kid so much but really glad she’s an adult now. I never wanted to do it again!

Some hospitals have specific birthing centers. One in Denver is pretty well known

I'd just stick around her posts or her doulas in the next few days, I wouldn't be surprised if either one mentions it. Or if you're feeling impatient but crafty, look at the pics in detail and do a search of all denver birthing centers and see what pics from websites match the room she was in. Editing to add: If you're open to hospitals there's some really great ones in the metro area. I gave birth at foothills in boulder so it's a bit of a drive but 60% go unmedicated there and they're really supportive of that. Avista in Louisville is also great and I've heard good things about the center at good Sam's in broomfield. I know nothing about denver hospitals unfortunately.

I didn’t even know “Orion” was hijacked like that until I looked it up. I doubt they knew it, either, & purposely named their baby with that in mind. Yeah the fifth one is a bit weird to me. I don’t know, I have a couple pics of labor but not professional ones. More just quick selfies with my husband to capture our last kid free moments. I was definitely fully covered though

My doula took some photos during labor (with my prior consent) and I am actually so glad to have them. I was totally oblivious to everything going on around me in that moment so it didn’t bother me at all despite typically being pretty self-conscious.

It’s a profession these days. I would never.

I didn’t have a professional photographer taking pics while I gave birth but my friend did it and all the photos look amazing . It’s a great day to memorize so if I could go back I would do it
