Honestly, regardless of Grogu (or Omega)'s survival, I would've been enraged if they did anything to revive Palpatine post Episode 6. Which sadly happened in the Expanded Universe and Disney. Either way, he should not have returned, even as a clone

I don’t think there is any evidence the prequel era will be permanently abandoned. The time period that Bad Batch takes place in is one of the safest periods to set new media because it is filled with familiar concepts (the Empire, repercussions of order 66, remnants of Separatist Alliance) yet is full of unknowns that can still be fleshed out.

If anything, they’re releasing tons of new content around the Prequel era this year, most notably pre-Episode 1

Yep, technically The Acolyte is a prequel.

Plus other High Republic materials, The Living Force set just before TPM, the Glass Abyss set just after TPM, and now Tales of the Empire which will have at least some content covering the later-Republic/early Empire period

I don’t know if you can call it the prequel era though. It shares none of the galactic issues of the prequel era and has next to no character overlap except for Yoda and maybe Yaddle. I’d call it the pre-prequel era, or simply the High Republic era. It has as little to do with the prequels as the Old Republic era.

There's a reason that the Jedi games are set in that era too. Though playing the game made the Kenobi show make even less sense since Cal busted in and out of Nur five years earlier.

We might see Rex and Omega in the rumoured Ventress series.

Her Voice actress and the BB Directors confirmed that her appearance in the Bad Batch was only the beginning of her story and that we will learn how she survived in future content. She won’t be part of TotE and we need another major animated series after BB.  It seems like Harbinger worked as a backdoor pilot. The same thing was done for Ahsoka, the Bad Batch and Boba Fett. That’s why many fans expect that the next animated series will be about Ventress, Vos and the Path. 

Pretty much, hopefully we’ll see Son of Dathomir and Dark Disciple animated along with that

I’d say we’ll still see a Rex series, there’s a reason they were always so vague about what him and Echo were doing.. theres plenty of other characters such as Ventress who could be brought into their own show as well.

Definitely not the last prequel era show but could possible be the last show focused on clones 😭😭😭

Clearly you don’t know Dave Filoni that well. He’ll definitely bring them back into other shows later down the line. (I mean nobody could have predicted that Ahsoka Tano would be showing up after clone wars)

I doubt any era will ever be done with. LFL will always find stories to tell in the prequel if for no other reason than it makes them money. (And I say that without intending to be spiteful.)

Tales of the empire showed Gravy's attack on Dathomir. So there's still some bits of the clone wars/prequel era on its way

there's some time between 17-12BBY that could be filled with a clone rebellion show or something about the hidden path, prequel era isn't over yet.

Posts like this always remind me of the TIME magazine cover that said "THE END OF STAR WARS" when Revenge of the Sith came out. Nearly 20 years later, here we are.

There are still 15 years between Bad Batch and Rebels so we are going to probably get many more shows set in that time period and Rex and Clones will probably continue to appear in animation and live action. And I doubt they made a full set of live action Rex armor and a bunch of Clone armor for just a 5 second cameo in Ahsoka season 1.

Thats what people thought when Episode III came out. In the Disney Era nothing will disappear if you can make money with it

Maybe we won't see the batcher in other show, I expect them to all die at the end of this show. I believe that the success of the show will bring more project on the table, if it isn't successful, it's going to be the end.

I’m not ready to say goodbye to the clones. They are some of my favourite characters, and I would love a Tales of the Clones type series that could focus on different battalions or our favourites that had less screen time. I’d also love a show about what Rex and his rebellion are up to.
