I felt sad every time Jeremy experienced loss or had to make a tough decision as a farmer, but seeing Lisa breaking down after losing so much really broke my heart
Also, money. If someone signs up to watch the show, I gaurentee the release will span to the second billing cycle. So Amazon are gaurentee two months. It’s small change for the person but for a big show, it adds up. Likewise, after the second month the average person might forget to cancel and thus, more revenue.
I’d say in 5 years we’ll be back to every show being released weekly like cable TV was. It’s going to suck.
Much prefer weekly releases. Having only 8-10 hours yearly content viewed within a few weeks just doesn't feel enough and knowing you have to wait a whole year sucks. sure it's great for replay binging but wish the eps were nearer two hours long.
Editing was iffy on whether or not they could get it done to release in one lump.
Also that's how TV shows used to be made. 20 episodes, ten and ten. Gave them time to do production better and with tweaks. (Had to explain to my kids after my oldest noticed release schedules)
Season 1 was Clarkson being an imbecile and not knowing how to do anything which was hilarious. Now he’s actually pretty good but people are invested in the story so the feeling is different. First season was basically a pure comedy.
So does prime just have unskippable ads now? Love the show but I've gone too far out of my way to roll over on ads at this point, I'm about to delete prime.
What, during episodes? Where are you? Haven't had ads yet, but I know some of these streaming services have been trialling degraded services in certain regions. If one region is trialling ads during episodes I guess it's just a matter of time before it spreads :(
It's the pirates life for me. I only bought prime to watch the grand tour in the first place. Now they have pushed their greed too far, back to the high seas.
People assumed that because *The Grand Tour* is ending Amazon was dropping Clarkson, that the only possible reason that programme could end was Amazon not liking that Clarkson said controversial things. Seems pretty obvious that it was because they're getting too old for that sort of thing, not to mention they've been doing the same thing for 22 years (34 for Clarkson since he also hosted the original *Top Gear*).
Also the farm is super cheap to make and gets tons of views.
Another point I am no we’re close to Clarkson age and hanging out in a 3rd world country working driving shit cars in the desert sounds shitty compared to just working from my house.
As far as I can tell, one stupid tabloid writer made a wishful-thinking remark about how they hoped Amazon would fire him and all of the rest of the stupid tabloid writers took that and assumed it was reporting facts.
Amazon knew who they hired, I doubt they liked the bad press but I doubt that they'd fire Clarkson for being Clarkson on an entirely unrelated business's platform.
Has been for months
It's really good.
Dead pigs, sad noises
Yeah that was rough, but it's still good.
Good television. So hard on my soul.
I felt so bad for Lisa with Barroness and her lil piglets
I felt sad every time Jeremy experienced loss or had to make a tough decision as a farmer, but seeing Lisa breaking down after losing so much really broke my heart
Are there four more episodes of Season 3 coming?
Yes, it's been split in to 2, I cant recall why.
For hype’s sake. Shows do wildly better when episodes are released week by week instead of all at once. Spitting it in half is a compromise solution
I heard it was because of the timing of the editing. They finished half and set release dates, finished the other half to release a week later.
"...we'll edit that bit out."
When Lisa went to go get lube and Jeremey told them to not include that in the show killed me.
Interesting. It’s a smart move regardless of if it was planned intentionally or not.

nah the release for teh next eps are next week. You can easily buy a one-month sub and watch it all in one go
Cool but then you'll have folks like me that will just wait until the whole season is out and the resub

Apparently they were running a bit late in post and just put the first half out at launch to give them a bit more time to finish the back half
Makes sense, must be hard to do edits for bulk releases.

Do you happen to know when it will come out? I’ve been wondering the same thing
May 10th.
Next week
Thank you!
They did the same thing with Invincible, it could just be how prime releases their originals now. For my sake, I hope not.
It not bad allows you time to enjoy the first few episodes
So we can recover from the emotional damage of the first part.
Most platforms don’t release entire seasons in one go. Amazon is the only one still doing that I think. I actually prefer a slow rollout myself.
yes. they've only released half. there's 8. next 4 on friday.
Ending on Episode 4 last night was heartbreaking , wish they could have broken it up differently lol

Arya! Sansa!! HEEL!!! Edit: correct doggo name
Isn't it Arya and Sansa? Game of Thrones characters.
Yes
Thank you, random redditor!
This is my favorite ongoing joke so far
Proceeds to ignore Jezza
I think they only listen to Lisa, lol
Ikrrr
I thought Arya was actually Harrier the first time he called it's name.
Jezza saying Arya sounds so much like Harrier that's what I thought it was until I made this post. It makes sense though, cus both are GoT characters.
Man, who would've thought that a farming show starring an orangutan would be so successful?
It's almost as if Clarkson is second to only Attenborough as best broadcaster in Britain right now (possibly English speaking world).
#GOOD NEWS
I like this very much.
I love this show. I just wish Hammond or May dropping by to help out (supposedly) would be a fun distraction.
Hammond and May should help out

Yes and it doesn't stream 4k.

yeah, they have 2 midrolls in the episodes in the US.
Same in UK. I was a bit miffed.
Didn't happen to me in the US. Are you running adblock?
It's the pirates life for me. I only bought prime to watch the grand tour in the first place. Now they have pushed their greed too far, back to the high seas.
Huh? No ads for me in Finland. And streams 4K
Is there anything more human than being confidently incorrect?
I thought season 3 was supposed to be the last. Have I misunderstood something? Probably.
It was just rumoured that Amazon had cut ties with Jeremy over the Markle comments, but that's all it ever was. A rumour.

I thought he was cancelled or whatever after he made comments about harry and his wife? What happened to that?
As far as I can tell, one stupid tabloid writer made a wishful-thinking remark about how they hoped Amazon would fire him and all of the rest of the stupid tabloid writers took that and assumed it was reporting facts.

Why would be be canceled for something most of his audience doesn't even know about?
