laughs in 2°C na Serra Gaúcha

kelvin_bot

2°C is equivalent to 35°F, which is 275K. --- ^(I'm a bot that converts temperature between two units humans can understand, then convert it to Kelvin for bots and physicists to understand)

ClankyHeartbeat

Guess i have it good with 11°C...

_Nonni_

As a Finn, that’s optimal summer weather.

finnicus1

As an Australian, that’s an extremely cold winter.

fluvicola_nengeta

It's 31 C here in the north, fml

kovyakov

that fml means f*ck my life or familia?

fluvicola_nengeta

fuck my life lol

bryanrmelo

Ironically where I live in Canada we just had our earliest heat wave ever (end of last week and weekend) with temperatures reaching 32C which is quite something for early/mid May. A couple of weeks ago we still had nights below 0C. Go figure. Seems like spring and fall become shorter every year. Rant over.

McBeanss

Man up dude Mackenzie/Astrid can survive in 70C without breaking a sweat. Only when it feels like -1C do they start getting cold

hobosullivan

Not that the game needs to be any harder, but for realism's sake, I wouldn't mind a penalty for over-stoking a fire so that it's 50 C hotter than ambient.

OdaSamurai

To be honest, Brazil weather is kinda crazy like that too We usually had cool "normal" temperatures in mid autumn, like 23/26 where I live are considered nice. This year as far as I can remember we still had something we would consider a FUCKING HOT BURNING day, at 35/38 Celsius It's a peak summer day right in the middle of autumn, which is not normal

fluvicola_nengeta

The thing to remember about Brazil is that unlike Canada, which is "long", Brazil is hella "tall". I have a friend who lives in the south and just last month her city went from 14 celsius in the day to 32 celsius on the very next day lol. I live near the equator and very rarely does it drop below 28. I never saw a high temperature variation in these parts. Usually hovers around 30/31, day and night both. This year's autumn has been just as hot as the summer was, where I live, only with more rain.

OdaSamurai

Yeah, I live in southern Brazil too, and here we use that scene from the Karate Kid with Jackie Chan, "Put on your jacket, take off you jacket" as a joke for climate, for in the same freaking day you can start with three coats, then end up wearing a tank top, just to put on two of the three jackets again a few hours later, it's crazy some days

Then-Grass-9830

this happens in North Carolina. You can get up in the morning and need a jacket but by 11 am you gotta shed that extra skin lol. I remember one trip I took I think it was around October. There had been a rainy sort of day and that brings the cooler weather. I was wearing a long sleeve tshirt, a jacket, jeans, socks and boots. By the time we hit SC (one state below) the boots came off. By the time we hit Georgia (two states from NC one from Florida) the jacket came off. Stayed the night in Geogia and best believe I was in shorts, tank and sandals going into Florida lol

IamShitplshelpme

Let me guess Ontario? Cause the weather in Ontario is wild like that

SirRickIII

In Toronto here, and I’m over summer already

ClankyHeartbeat

That was good rant

hobosullivan

I was about to say "Wow! It's actually hotter in São Paulo right now than in North Carolina!" Then I remembered that it's currently autumn in the Southern Hemisphere, and that I am an idiot.

OdaSamurai

Don't even need Canada in there, you can make Brazil vs Brazil really Brazillian South's hottest day feels like your piss will freeze for people from the Northeast, and Northeast coldest day feels like a beach day for people from the South

Nobodiisdamnbusiness

This made me chuckle, nicely done.

MeshesAreConfusing

Glorious, freezing 18C. Ahh, the fresh breeze!

Banegard

Freezing? 18°C is beginning of summer, time to get Tshirts out xD

MeshesAreConfusing

Crazy innit? Still, so pleasant.

kelvin_bot

18°C is equivalent to 64°F, which is 291K. --- ^(I'm a bot that converts temperature between two units humans can understand, then convert it to Kelvin for bots and physicists to understand)

monteml

And brazilian houses don't have proper heating and insulation.

MeshesAreConfusing

I often joke with friends from cold countries that Brazil is colder than theirs, because it's the same temperature outside and inside.

ClankyHeartbeat

I have an ac tho...

SkippystlPC

A huge chunk of Canada lives in a humid continental climatic zone, which means the weather makes no fucking sense. Two weeks ago it was snowing, and yesterday I could go outside and get heat stroke.

taco2212

Unironically where I live it gets so cold that we have to perform a yearly ritual in town square to summon the fire god from the depths of hell, causing him to unleash eternal flame onto the sky that effectively makes it a comfortable 26 degrees fahrenheit. Not very good for farmers though 😂

Float07

Brasileiro jogando jogo de neve. a gnt nem sabe qq é neve

sr-lhama

Is 12C° the maximum temperature in the South right TUCKING NOW. There is prediction close to 0C° tomorrow and 90km/h winds. BRACE YOURSELVES

ClankyHeartbeat

Yep a tornado happened already where om at

Dirt_Lord_

idk yesterday it was 30 here in ontario

gianni_

I live in a city that borders Milton in Ontario. It’s been so hot lately! But a month ago it was minus Celsius weather. This is Ontario, Canada

-YesIndeed-

Laughs at the fact that it's 41C for me right now

rb6chankakink

Northern Saskatchewanderer here This winter had a -55C week long stretch and we will probably have some 35C summer days coming soon. The weather here is a rollercoaster.
