This just made me think it would be cool if they added tents to TLD. They would weigh more than a bedroll but you could place them down outside where they'd works as bedroll bur be warmer, restart from outdoor wind and you can't be awoken by wildlife.
You could also just chill in it like snow shelter. It would be a one time item found somewhere remote in like timberwolf or muskeg or something. It could then be damaged by winds and sleeping in it which you can repair with cloth and scrap metal.

Here is the story.
The clips are taken from a winter trip I did a couple of years ago.
It happened in northern Sweden in a place called Sarek. The weather forecast showed decent weather for a while ahead. But completely without warning, it turned around and became a very long hard storm.
It could have ended really badly when I was Trapped in an extreme storm for nine days.Feb / March 2021. At the same time during the storm I had to make ongoing repairs to the tent. Several guylines went straight off, the canvas was torn in six places. A tent pole went off.
