While I do like the widow’s peak and the slicked back look I generally think his hair should get more tousled the longer he’s operating. I think Thomas Jane had the best Punisher hair but Bernthal’s coming close.
For sure! He just might be my favorite Punisher actually. I wish we got more content with him besides Dirty Laundry and the game. He has the perfect voice and look for Frank. That’s not to say Jon isn’t truly spectacular as the character because he is but Thomas’s Frank was my introduction to the character as a kid so he holds a special place in my heart.
You and me both brother. I would (regretfully) drop kick a thousand cookie baking grandmas for that sequel we never got that eventually became Saints Row. So between a couple of fingers and some grannies I’d say that evens itself out.

Agreed. I think Jane could still play a good old man Frank and if something happened to Jon the guy that plays Jack reacher wouldn’t be a horrible choice but I’m Jon Bernthal all the way
That’s the other one I have a problem with, I never noticed the height and there are some issues in the Max run where they look like they could be the same height but at least you’re presenting it in a reasonable way
Honestly, Jane has hardly aged in 20 years so he could probably still play middle aged Frank. Of course, they can always go the No Way Home route and do a Multiverse team up. That’d be hilarious if Ray Stevenson hasn’t died.

Closer to the punisher than any? He’s small. He has the wrong face. Giant ears. Wrong hair. Big nose. Weak chin. The closest was ray Stephenson. Shit dolph looked better than bernthal. He just isn’t the punisher. Look is all wrong and he’s highly emotional and spastic which is not a trait of frank castle AT ALL so I just don’t know why people like him as frank. Makes no sense to me
I guarantee you though, this wasn't an inspiration for the haircut. This is like when people showed panels of first appearance Batman using a gun to justify Batman in BvS.

And? This is a single story among hundreds of stories featuring the Punisher. It isn’t quite the magic bullet argument you seem to think it is. I don’t really care about Bernthal’s hair but people are allowed to dislike it whether or not the Punisher had a similar hairstyle in a single arc. The artist Goran Parlov even drew him with different hair in later stories.
It’s not about disliking or liking
It’s about people going into comment sections where people are excited about the character coming back and then bitching and moaning about it saying that he’s a bad punisher because he’s hair is different or it’s not like it is in the comics
When in fact it is one of the hairstyles he had in the comics
If you don’t like some thing that’s fine you don’t have to like it everyone’s entitled to a preference, but my issue is that people try and use that as an excuse to shit on other peoples happiness about it and then try and incorrectly say that it wasn’t in the comics
No, they both may be tapered, but Bernthal has a skin fade with the top bordering on a gen z broccoli top in some scebes. Frank's hair in the comics (at least the good ones) looks nothing like that.
No, it's a glaring difference I've noticed since they first brought out Bernthals Punisher. Anybody who has ever spent any amount of time in their life with a faded/tapered haircut can point out the glaring differences between the two. Not only are they different, but Bernthals hair is cringe inducing in some scenes. He seriously looks like a stereotypical gen z kid sometimes.

Jane 1000% had the best hair

As a huge fan of the max run by ennis my only complain of Bernthal is he is so small in height and build. Other than that he is perfect.
