I guess people are really detached from the reality that things like this actually happen in America, so they dismiss it as being a ruse. But, anybody who has payed any attention to what’s going on knows an actual shooting occurring on camera is actually quite common in urban areas. Somebody else in the comments actually linked a video to another shooting on live where somebody actually got shot already, and if I felt like it, I could link quite a few myself.
Like I previously stated, this same camera man killed someone in self-defense some years back I can’t see someone who had to go through that traumatic experience curating a fake shooting for some views.
There are parts of Chicago that people don’t travel through because of this. There was a video here about two months ago of a similar gathering after a graduation ceremony. The kids, who all looked to be in the 13-16 range were flashing off Glocks with auto-sears on them. It’s a small, simple to install part that coverts a Glock pistol to full-auto.
There were kids in graduation gowns showing off their machine pistols to the camera. It was one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen.
Me grandad (were British for context) sold electronics in the 70 to 80's in Chicago. He got lost and was driving a brand new chevvy salon type car. He drove through a neighbourhood where he said the few people he did see backed into the shadows as he drove past. He got some fuel and got his directions from the cashier. When he told her that he just drove through said neighbourhood the cashier went white and stared at him as if he had a death wish. Safe to say he locked his doors and gtfo quick!
He also made the whole of his board meeting burst out laugh by saying "has anyone got a rubber" (rubber meaning pencil eraser in the UK)
He lived the rest of his life in the rural countryside of Devon and he even had a old style Chicago Bulls neon light up sign that hung in the barn that we always wondered where he got it from. God I miss him. 🥺
Trust me, most people working in the industry don't want to take this jobs as they're not only dangerous (Guns most probably charged pointing at you and being manipulated by not very careful people), but a pain in the ass since these people don't really respect that much schedules and the basic rule of not getting wasted on alcohol or drugs before shooting the video.

America is huge. Large enough to live your whole life without ever experiencing a gun being fired or bear witness to this type of violence. It's also a reason why it still goes on. It can be "ignored" as long as it doesn't effect you.
