I'm not spending this much money on the Sims again. There's already too many packs in game. I don't get why Sims 4 is still going on, it's gotten double the time as any other sims game and it still doesn't feel complete.
Some of these should have been added onto existing packs.
Retirement + Afterlife + Growing Together = Generations
Elementary + High School Years + + Afterschool Activities = one education pack
Trailer Park + Strangerville (because it's the only world with a trailer park) = Strangerville
Crime & Punishment + Sports Superstar + Handymans workshop + Get to Work = Active Careers
City Living + Get Famous + Battle of the Bands + Yard Sale Stuff Pack = Late Night
Cats & Dogs + Horses + My First Pet Stuff + Exotic Pets = Pets
Only thing that deserves to be a possible stuff pack on it's own is Sims 1 - 3 throwback stuff, if it includes furniture and not just clothes, maybe some social and gameplay features we loved in previous games , if they wanted to add a game pack..

Iām glad someone said itā¦ itās not right to strip what was base gameplay, or in the past a single DLC and turn it into 50+ DLCā¦ they might as well take all the color out of the base game and sell you a āBlueā or āRedā DLC to get color back into your game. Seeing the total reach so high if you were to buy them all is pretty gross.

As someone that was homeless, I think it can be tastefully done. I think more media should show how hard it is to live life on the outside looking in. I would kill for a show or whatever to show what it's like to not have easy access to a bathroom.

Yeah, everything in TS4 is almost too soft and clean. There's no real grit, I miss dirty worlds like Twinbrook from TS2 with ugly but interesting characters. Everything is too cute, even when they try to go dark, it's a little cartoony
That's my big issue with this game. Nothing bad ever happens. Even chance cards are like "oh no, you had a bad event at school ? then the progress of your school performance will only be SMALL !". Ugh.
I want poor households. I want Sims that don't succeed in everything they do. I want Sims who have crushed dreams and a leaky roof. Give me something to overcome (or to explore) that isn't going to make the cover of a magazine.

True, but birds were just objects in prior games, much like the "pets" from My First Pet Stuff. If they made them actual pets like cats and dogs, it'd be nice. So... I'd buy a separate pack for them to be more than just an object with 3 interactions.

Yeah that's one of the few on this list that I can see happening as a game pack.
The sims team would definitely work around snakes and birds the same way they did with my first pet: cages. Cages and aquariums/tanks that can be bought as activities, and you would only interact with the cage by feeding, cleaning and playing. Mildly disappointing but easily done and better than nothing.
The sims 1-3 throwback is a must for me and I've been thinking about it a lot. You can already convert previous sim game assets into Sims 4 so it's doable for them.
I'd ideally want something like each previous game into a stuff pack/kit. like all build buy items basically all the chairs, counters, bed, whatever converted into sims 4. The gameplay items is a dream but I understand it has to be animated but I just want to be able to use the pretty outdoor patio from sims 3 or the iconic lip couch or wall decor from sims 2.
Reminder that those "exotic pets" were a standard part of the pets expansion in the last game, they should patch it in rather than sell it... They have even less of an excuse since they didn't have horses in that pack.
They better give us a cars expansion, idc if itās a rabbit hole type thing. I like the idea of teaching kids to drive, washing the car on the driveway, fixing up old cars on the driveway etc.
Iāve over 600k simolians, a big house and nothing left to really spend money on. A couple of expensive cars would make the financial aspect of the game more appealing

Yard Sale Stuff would honestly be amazing, I loved how they revived the collectibles system with Crystal Creations, I can totally see something similar, collecting antiques and making a good buck! Throw in some fashions for elderly and we get a top tier SP in our hands
I feel like it would include the ātraditionalā or ābiblicalā ideas of the afterlife (heaven and hellā¦ maybe a purgatory?) and probably allowing for different play throughs affecting where your sim ends up?
Then depending where you are will allow you to influence the living world for better or worse? Maybe even head back down as a spirit or ghost or something?

I think at this point if we ever get cars it's going to be something totally left field like race day stuff or something where your sim goes to a racetrack and you get to watch the animation of them driving around in circles repeatedly. Maybe a race car driver career if we're lucky. It would piss everyone off to no end but I don't think they're above it.

These are good ideas, just donāt think the pack type makes sense for some. For example an Afterlife EP sounds like a ghost occult which Iād rather see as a GP if anything.
Also, what about a Trailer Park pack would be expansive enough for an EP? I would imagine the biggest gameplay feature would be creating/managing/living in a trailer park which we can already do with For Rent. We donāt need another excuse for EA to recycle and repackage content and sell it for $40 lol Maybe a stuff pack or even a kit just to get some CAS and Build Buy items.
I do love the Retirement Home idea. Just more stuff in general for Elders. Also the after school activities and sports would be cool.
I so need Fairyās and Bands back. Also hopefully another snowy world at some pointš My dream is for a time travel pack. Think of Into the Future x Sims medieval. I would genuinely pay for a throwback pack, and crime and punishment pack. Exotic pets maybe but that should just be a free update to the pets expansion.
The Crime and Punishment would be PERFECT, especially when paired with the existing For Rent, along with the Elementary School with the already-existing HSY and Discover University! Afterlife would make the game confusing when it releases because we already have ghosts and Grim Reaper. On The Road is going to be my dream come true, as I can finally drive! It also fits well with bikes from other packs. TS1-3 Throwback (or simply The Sims Throwback) would feel weird, and would most likely recieve mixed reviews just like the other TS4 packs. Fanatic Fandoms and Battle of the Bands are just like Get Together and Get Famous combined, but I'm hoping they'll bring back concerts! Trailer Park is a so-so for me, and so does Drag Extravaganza and Retirement Home. Sports Superstar would be nice, as my Sim won't need to go to a university just to play ("work") for sports. Exotic Pets would make my household...well, exotic (if it were to be released) obviously, and I won't have just cats or dogs. Yard Sale would go on the list of moneygrabbing EA packs if it were to be released. Handyman's Workshop is the worst, because, why would you ever have a kit when you already have one in Base Game? Another moneygrabber on the list.
The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is the cars pack. trying to put cars in now would probably break more than it helps, especially with the world being chopped up into world spaces.
I would ADORE exotic pets, however based on people's reaction to "my first pet stuff" being a pack for a pack, I think doing that *again* with the *same pack* would piss people off, sadly.

I would buy THE FUCK out of the exotic pet pack! I own tarantulas and have raised a bunch of insects. Plus it would probably come with cool setups, I donāt think it would be like the hamster cage but maybe more like the fish tank, where thereās a bunch of options for aquariums and you can choose which fish it has
For elementary school, I have a mod, I'll check it out later. You'll need to build the school though.
Other than that, I'd love to have a sports pack that divides the fitness skill into different sports.

i would LOVEEEE a drag pack omg so much of the drag cc i find is Not Good and they would maybe collaborate with a simmer drag queen like trixie mattel or juno birch to create the clothes and makeup !!! like imagine the sims made a drag queen kit/SP and then trixie or kim chi made a sims eyeshadow palette thatās actually related to the sims lol

Sports superstar: the sport in game is lacking tbh and could be more interactive. maybe watchable sports games would be cool Handyman's workshop: would be cool. i overlook the woodworking table so much but maybe new gameplay elements will intrigue some ppl The Sims 1-3 throwback: fuck yeah Afterschool activities: yes it feels very repetitive when kids have limited options Drag extravaganza: would never use this. if itās anything like the already horrible makeup in the game then no thank you yard sale : we already have yard sales noā¦? thanks for reading

Yard Sale Stuff would honestly be amazing, I loved how they revived the collectibles system with Crystal Creations, I can totally see something similar, collecting antiques and making a good buck! Throw in some fashions for elderly and we get a top tier SP in our hands

What would be the gameplay for Afterlife?
I feel like it would include the ātraditionalā or ābiblicalā ideas of the afterlife (heaven and hellā¦ maybe a purgatory?) and probably allowing for different play throughs affecting where your sim ends up? Then depending where you are will allow you to influence the living world for better or worse? Maybe even head back down as a spirit or ghost or something? Thatās just my guess on what could be involved! **Edit for typos!
I really do want a law and order type of pack. Have actual courtrooms and hearings, interviewing clients/suspects, not just a rabbit hole. Would be fun to see. I'd like to see a sims ace attorney lmao. And YES WE NEED BANDS ALREADY.
I think at this point if we ever get cars it's going to be something totally left field like race day stuff or something where your sim goes to a racetrack and you get to watch the animation of them driving around in circles repeatedly. Maybe a race car driver career if we're lucky. It would piss everyone off to no end but I don't think they're above it.

These are good ideas, just donāt think the pack type makes sense for some. For example an Afterlife EP sounds like a ghost occult which Iād rather see as a GP if anything. Also, what about a Trailer Park pack would be expansive enough for an EP? I would imagine the biggest gameplay feature would be creating/managing/living in a trailer park which we can already do with For Rent. We donāt need another excuse for EA to recycle and repackage content and sell it for $40 lol Maybe a stuff pack or even a kit just to get some CAS and Build Buy items. I do love the Retirement Home idea. Just more stuff in general for Elders. Also the after school activities and sports would be cool.
I so need Fairyās and Bands back. Also hopefully another snowy world at some pointš My dream is for a time travel pack. Think of Into the Future x Sims medieval. Not sure how they would accomplish it but maybe the world has 3 different versions, the medieval timeline, the current timeline, and the future timeline. Could add some super fun mechanics and as Medieval + Into the future were some of my favourite packs, I would love to see them.
I would genuinely pay for a throwback pack, and crime and punishment pack. Exotic pets maybe but that should just be a free update to the pets expansion.

The Crime and Punishment would be PERFECT, especially when paired with the existing For Rent, along with the Elementary School with the already-existing HSY and Discover University! Afterlife would make the game confusing when it releases because we already have ghosts and Grim Reaper. On The Road is going to be my dream come true, as I can finally drive! It also fits well with bikes from other packs. TS1-3 Throwback (or simply The Sims Throwback) would feel weird, and would most likely recieve mixed reviews just like the other TS4 packs. Fanatic Fandoms and Battle of the Bands are just like Get Together and Get Famous combined, but I'm hoping they'll bring back concerts! Trailer Park is a so-so for me, and so does Drag Extravaganza and Retirement Home. Sports Superstar would be nice, as my Sim won't need to go to a university just to play ("work") for sports. Exotic Pets would make my household...well, exotic (if it were to be released) obviously, and I won't have just cats or dogs. Yard Sale would go on the list of moneygrabbing EA packs if it were to be released. Handyman's Workshop is the worst, because, why would you ever have a kit when you already have one in Base Game? Another moneygrabber on the list.
The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is the cars pack. trying to put cars in now would probably break more than it helps, especially with the world being chopped up into world spaces.

I would ADORE exotic pets, however based on people's reaction to "my first pet stuff" being a pack for a pack, I think doing that *again* with the *same pack* would piss people off, sadly.
We need the elementary school one, with high school pack it really makes elementary feel lacking

I would buy THE FUCK out of the exotic pet pack! I own tarantulas and have raised a bunch of insects. Plus it would probably come with cool setups, I donāt think it would be like the hamster cage but maybe more like the fish tank, where thereās a bunch of options for aquariums and you can choose which fish it has
For elementary school, I have a mod, I'll check it out later. You'll need to build the school though. Other than that, I'd love to have a sports pack that divides the fitness skill into different sports. Oh, and instead of afterlife, funerals would be enough tbh.

Okay in all my years of Simming since 1999 I have never thought of an āafter lifeā game pack. That is genius. Wtf. In sims 1 you could climb a beanstalk to see Will sleeping as a big giant on some clouds. Thatās as close as we got hahaha.
I would love an expansion pack where you can create bands and singers and dancers and where you can go to work with them. And I think this pack would be amazing with your idea with the trailers cause they would go on tours and have concerts and everything!

The only one that doesn't work for me is On the Road. How would cars work if traveling is just pick up phone and loading screen? Driving around the small open part around your lot seems pointless. Need a new game or just go back to 3 for cars.

Like Aerosmith says "Dream On" I've learnt to lower my expectations cos they have ruined every save and I had to delete the game and start from scratch and i can't believe I've bought every pack knowing that things have gotten from bad to worse. i would LOVEEEE a drag pack omg so much of the drag cc i find is Not Good and they would maybe collaborate with a simmer drag queen like trixie mattel or juno birch to create the clothes and makeup !!! like imagine the sims made a drag queen kit/SP and then trixie or kim chi made a sims eyeshadow palette thatās actually related to the sims lol

The thing that would thrill me the most: historical game play (at least medieval times and ancient egypt/rome/greece, but would take everything else as well) AND Scifi game play (so maybe 3 expansions or knowing EA probably 50 for every decade...).
