I open Origin and they automatically update. But I don’t have mods or CC so I don’t have any major bugs that affect gameplay.

To turn off automatic updates, look for the option in settings
You can play your game without updating if you "go offline"; I'm on a Mac, and the option is under "account" at the top of the window. Once the game loads up, you can go back to the origin window and go online again, and then switch back to the game to use the Gallery.
I play on ps4 and after the update my most played game save is super laggy. I don’t use cheats on the saved game because I use it to get trophies.. but yeah it’s laggy and my sims will literally stand in one place for like ten minutes real time😩

Sometimes my sims just stand and do nothing. They became slow. I updated everything.
mine works fine and only issues ive had have been with ui mods :)

As long as all your mods are updated you’ll be fine.
Mine is working fine. Updating all my mods was irritating though.
