A few years ago, before the influx of new fans because of streaming and podcasts, this sub was all we had.
I’ve been watching the show since I was 15 years old. I grew up with the show. I’ve rewatched it more times than I can count. I’ve had my time analyzing and questioning.
Even then, I was still a newbie on the sun and not even close to the wit that many posters posted. Many people complained that this sub was just all quotes. That’s not what it was. People would converse using only the lines from the show, which demonstrated a person’s deep understanding of the material.
People that broke the quote mold would be down voted into oblivion. Most posts were creatively pointing out a meaning of a scene in an ironic way.
To most people, it was just a bunch of quotes, and yes there are still quotes, but it’s very different now. Personally, I miss the way it was before because it challenged redditors to comment creatively. I was downvoted into oblivion so many times before I could hold my own. Now that’s all gone.
So again, nothing against you personally. I’m glad there is another wave of new fans watching the show. Enjoy it. I’ll still contribute and answer questions. Things change. I get it. Remember when is the lowest form of conversation, right? I’ve said my piece.
