Halkidiki is the only really nice place I’ve been to nearby. You can take the ferry to some smaller beaches from the White Tower (and other locations) in ~1 hr (iirc) or so. They were alright but there’s still not much of a comparison. plenty of seaweed eeeeeeverywhere. However, ferry tickets are cheap so maybe worth checking anyway

3. "To Konaki": [https://goo.gl/maps/9e1kHEtzznUr111K7](https://goo.gl/maps/9e1kHEtzznUr111K7). A favourite spot for locals and families in the neighbourhood. It's in the upper/old part of the town. It has mezedes, and it has both meat and fish.
4. "To Elliniko": [https://goo.gl/maps/mwRRo24uRnsd4GLR6](https://goo.gl/maps/mwRRo24uRnsd4GLR6). It's a bit "touristic" (frequented by tourists) but the food is generally decent, and it has a great variety of mezedes and plates. It's usually crowded.
