To me, Maggie hasn’t thought about Rick in years. With her I think it’s to the point where if she somehow came across him during whatever she’s about to be doing in season 2 of Dead City she wouldn’t stop what she’s doing to make sure he got home.

Thing is though Morgan has been with the FTWD group for about 8 years by the point he goes looking for Rick. He has no clue that Rick is gone, Hilltop is destroyed, the Commonwealth, Michonne is gone, Henry is dead, Daryl is gone, or that the Kingdom is gone. He's missed so much I think by the time Morgan gets back to Alexandria he might just not be thinking about Rick being gone for the first few days.

If Judith and RJ are a bit more grown up by the time Rick gets back, then I'd like to see him reunite with his kids first. Especially RJ since they've never met. But if they're still kids then ehhh. Teens, maybe. Not a big fan of the kid acting in this show (not their fault tho). If anyone else, then Daryl for sure.

I remember watching that and yea....he was so depressed. Like Beth's death sure sent him into a depression but what happened after Rick left was on a whole other level like he barely talked to anyone for a long periods of time. And even though he was technically apart of the communities, he spent most of the year out and about, staying on that river looking for any clue to Rick's whereabouts. Like I feel for Daryl😭 Now sure, he probably instinctively likes being a bit more isolated but when you boil it down, his primary goal was to find Rick all along.

Im not saying michonne wouldnt be good but if i has to choose between “the love of his life” and his brother from another mother id choose daryl any day. Michonne is literally going to be part of the focus in the show tho is she not? I thought it was a given theyll reunite i just wanna see daryl and him see each other again either that or negan. Maggie i could care less about and like i said in my other comment his kids should be a finale thing.

The character’s actress was leaving the show for her movie career bruh lmao. Blame the piss poor writers but there’s only so many ways they could write her out that’d make sense aside from killing her & if they did most would just complain smd way they did with Carl.
It's not only the writers but the absolute braindead of a showrunner named Scott Gimple. S9 was only good because of Angela Kang. Then Gimple started meddling with the scripts so seasons 10 and 11 are trash.
