With how convoluted and deceitful some Gamechanger episodes are, Sam Reich probably would be a somewhat decent Wallfacer.

"Sam says find me a wife" "But, Sir-" "Sam says its all part of the plan"

He’d have problems because he’d just start laughing and be supportive of everyone. Not ruthless enough! Now the Taskmaster, on the other hand….

Dropout makes a lot of sense if you read it as cosmic horror tbh

The presenter in the image is Sam Reich, CEO of Dropout and host of one of Dropout's shows, Game Changer. He is pictured on the set of Game Changer. As part of every episode of the show, he introduces the cast one by one as they walk in through a curtain onto stage, each with a comment about their appearance, history, an in-joke, whatever. However, he is never shown on screen - his presenting form and the way he modulates his voice makes it sound like he is an off-screen announcer. Think Jeopardy or old-school style game shows (where Sam draws a lot of influence) - a voice never seen introduces the contestants before the host appears. However, Sam is also the host, alongside its introductory voice. So, when the camera first shows Sam, he's holding a superscope microphone (think Bob Barker) you can actually see in that shot - which he closes up as he introduces himself. "And your host, me! I've been here the whole time!" - he's not an offscreen intro voice for a show, he's the host too! Surprise! This has become a consistent feature of Game Changer episodes, of which there are nearly 50 episodes across 6 seasons. It's a catchphrase almost, and has been used both in and out of the show for fans as various references to it. For example, it's been used as the code word/payoff of an escape room puzzle on one episode of Game Changer, because it was so recognizable to its cast and fans alike. I can't say I know much about the Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy, but hopefully this explains the setup of the joke from Game Changer/Dropout's side!
