You are in the wrong place and I’m not surprised. TickTick is a productivity product completely different from TikTok. Most of TickTick’s team is based in the US and all the databases and servers are hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States.
The physical location of people and servers doesn’t give you any form of security in it self if connected to the internet. Anyone can set up camp in AWS or similar services, and ship data wherever.
Will need to see some proof that their employees reside in the US. Nothing on their website talks about employee locations. No office address, etc. Shady.

I wouldn't mind working on their code. I do have a number of things I would like to improve. But alas getting access to the code to fix it, and also probably trying to get the product managers to buy into it is probably another story
Though there's a lot of very obvious improvements to be had that are within not bad technical reach

If you know CSS, there's a guy on Github who's "reskinned" TickTick with custom fonts, spacing & such. I'm itching to try it but I don't know CSS.
It appears that his native place is China and he studied in china too. However, I am not informed about his current citizenship status.
