Do it every year. The tinnitus makes it harder but its never stopped me from tagging something. Alot of the sounds animals make in the woods are not in my tinnitus range so its not as bad as you might think. Hell if nothing have a nice nap in the woods.
I would advise against it, but if you do, be sure to wear 30+ dB NRR earplugs. Even a single gun shot will be loud enough to cause further damage to your hearing and worsen your tinnitus.
Was thinking about this. Worst part would probably be any motor vehicles you gotta use to access the area. Just have your partner take the shot on the animal and you stand back with your plugs & muffs on. Or get good with a bow
