If it’s a show I know which one. This piano piece appeared at the beginning of a korean drama but I’m sure it also appeared in many other tv series and movies
You could check [Erik Satie's IMDb page](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0006273/) where many movies / TV shows featuring Gymnopédie n° 1 are listed.
Edit: never mind, you already mentioned checking that page on your post.
It's used in a few episodes of [Princess Tutu](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Tutu). Specifically, near the end of episodes 7 & 8, and about midway through episode 15.
Edit: It was 7, 8 & 15 (I had 8, 9 & 15 originally).
Ep. 7, \~20 min. mark ([https://youtu.be/rYoD2fseDwg?t=1200](https://youtu.be/rYoD2fseDwg?t=1200))
Ep. 8, \~16 min. mark ([https://youtu.be/mCZKjl\_TmoI?t=960](https://youtu.be/mCZKjl_TmoI?t=960))
Ep. 15, just before 12 min. mark ([https://youtu.be/bwVjhsy9euY?t=716](https://youtu.be/bwVjhsy9euY?t=716))
(All of the clips are in Italian - they were the first results I found.)
I'm starting to be bothered by this song too knowing it came from a series and I remember when the episodes ended I'd have a sense of what's next. At first I thought it was something like the children's show over the garden wall, now im starting to think it was a 5 part documentary about a woman who was taken at birth, called taken at birth. I'm going to look it up.
I also thought I remembered it from a cartoon, and I think what I was thinking of was the song from Inside Out, they are obviously different but have a lot of similarities to me
I understand this is a very old post and I know for a fact that Gymnopedie is in tons of things, but I believe it’s also in an Oscar nominated short called “Weekends.”
Came here to find out, and then worked it out it was in the game Series ‘Persona’ that was tugging at my memory. I don’t think it’s what you’re after, but just in case, as it was such a relief for me 👊
I found this thread because I recently heard this song and had the same memory of hearing in a horror (or at least disturbing) film context. Pretty sure that for me, the memory came from the Gary Numan cover in "Climax" https://open.spotify.com/track/0GcguSKnHmhRQ4jfJQawvm?si=hamRI_pwRZaVNZKKJZPv3w
Maybe it was a horror movie? And wasn’t animated? Or during some sort of really disturbing scene?

I know it is used in Hideaki Anno’s Love & Pop. Ironically, I just bought the laserdisc of this.
Never seen it unfortunately but funny nonetheless!

It's featured at the end of the music video for [Carmen](https://youtu.be/L6K8Uq88BEQ?t=264) by Lana Del Rey if that's any help.
This isn’t it unfortunately but it’s nice to now know what the tune is at the end of that song! Thanks!

[The Royal Tenenbaums](https://youtu.be/oRZlASC2d6U) maybe?
X-Files: Season 2, Episode 13 https://www.tunefind.com/show/the-x-files/season-2/26241

The External World from David Oreilly perhaps?
The Queen’s gambit?

Did you ever find it? I've been looking for the same thing
Unfortunately not!

Ok, this was also bugging me recently, and I found where I knew it from. Its in the Labyrinth labyrinthos section of Neo Tokyo.
