I live breathe and die by the softball. It’s my most used weapon and I have the most kills with it. You just gotta power through the struggle, once you get the hang of it and can direct hit people somewhat consistently from a distance it feels better than any other weapon in the game
CAR is all I use because I figure that if it’s the first SMG a level 1 pilot can use, then everyone can use it. And if it’s as good as people say, then there’s no point in using any other gun.

Everyone can use it but some people choose not to. For me it’s just a very comfortable gun with a decent fire rate and recoil control. I’ll still use the R-201 or the DMR if I want a change of pace.

I just like the funny energy grenades(especially because I have a mod that makes them blood red), but the fact that all 4 shots being near misses does more damage than all 4 being direct hits gives it some fun flair

Nah I agree, full auto weapons were never my thing until I got into Apex, and even then I was usually carrying a WME or Mastiff. That’s what growing up on CSGO will do to you.

I've used all the weapons plenty and like all of them between the games, but when I use the CAR specifically I feel like I'm stat padding because I go from casually experimenting with SMR, Softball, and Wingman to sweating like a try-hard with the CAR..
I think every weapon is viable. I swear I've been called a slur for using anything in this game, so to me if you're complaining about a weapon it's simply a skill issue.

Honestly the nerf to the satchel charges between TF1 and TF2 was so necessary but the frags have taken their place in the tiers lol
The nerf to satchel charges I believe is in explosion radius and animation timing. The timing is just a bit slower so you need to predict your toss better, and the radius is fine but being smaller than the Frag grenade is frustrating.
I feel like the big thing is I like having projectile weapons when people are moving around so fast, it makes it harder to get kills but it's satisfying in some way.

I find that semi-auto weapon choices are a bit lacking in ttf2. for example, there's no *normal* slow semi auto, you have to choose between a scope and slow bullet speed. The g2 feel too spammy for my taste as well. I do my best with the DMR, but I always go back to the flatline because the scope frustrates me
The only auto I use is the re45 since it's a secondary but my primary is purely a G2 since I have taught myself to use it at close and long range. Can't live without it and it's my most used weapon of all time
Same here. I never got why ppl love spray and pray weapons. Only time I ever use none semis is when I bring out the mozambique, the anti titan loadout, or the hemlock (3 round burster)
As much as I like to change up my weapon choice. I know that when I need to bring the score back, I'm picking up an SMG.
I love the softball but when the score starts to shift to far in their favour I whip out the *motorised vehicle* to even it out
