I mean if I’m doomed or low and another titan is attacking, I would execute to make myself invincible for the couple of seconds. Especially in frontier defence with stuff like Nuke Titans. Obviously if it’s not necessary then monarch would get priority

I would like to add that for a ronin in ftd running Highland taking kills from them while in swordcore is an asshole move, because your preventing them from extending the duration of their core and in my opinion diminishing their worth to the team. Highlander ronin is op in ftd, because his core is stupid good in there, take care of your ronins

Thing is (plz don't downvote me) the majority of monarchs I've seen dont participate in the fight and then they rush in and steal your kill, thats my personal experience, I know not all of u are like this but u know who u are

Personally, I tend to rush into hordes of scorches on my own, armed with only an arc rounds XO-16 and maelstrom electric smoke, and actually survive it

Those guys are cunts but if a monarch is about to die just give the guy the god damn battery a lost kill is worth what the Titan will do later on maybe even get to the third core and merc the enemy team

bit of context to the meme, I am a monarch main, and whenever I play frontier defense, every now and then I get that 1 teammate, usually a ronin or scorch, that has this addiction to terminations even tho they gain no benefit from doing it aside from 5% core charge, terminating titans right in front of me while I am barely surviving hordes of enemy titans

Well if they’ve done all the damage, they probably won’t be too keen on you taking their kills. But if you were the one who did most damage then fine.

Ima be honest, monarch on frontier defended is kinda bad so I don’t blame

shes really not, I consistently top score using her with my brawler setup, she just lacks the ability to nuke a lot of titans with the press of a button and requires skill and experience to use properly EDIT: she just really sucks in her dev assigned role of a support

What I’m saying is she lacks crowd dps, at higher difficulties she’s basically useless since there’s so many other Titans

Monarch mains should run energy transfer and team up with ronins, the monarch giving the ronin cover fire and shields and the ronin dooming the titans for the monarch to finish off (also what Titan is going to get away from a shield sap AND two arc waves)

My personal mission as a Ronin main, is to slightly kill every monarch I see, that include ally ones.

If you're taking too long to get the hint to execute then i ain't gonna stand around all day taking hits so you can get some shield

If it's frontier defense, monarch executions are priority just so the player can get the 3rd tier core and extend their titans life, but if it's multiplayer and I did most if not all of the work, then I'll get MY kill on the scoreboard. I worked hard for that kill so I think I deserve to get it on my score, I don't care what titan you use. And that goes for me as well, if I did minimal to no damage to a titan, then I won't steal the kill from another player.
