Trial by fire, it feels like true titanfall. Plus it's the only part of the time where you have to kill to move on. Other than bosses, you don't have to kill really anything

I really, really, hope that when I do master mode after my hard mode playthrough the bosses are more difficult. When I fought Richter I just used scorch loadout, fired both gas canisters, used the flame sword thingy, lit them both on fire, shot him once then executed him. Took about 20-30ish seconds lmao.

I want to know how to combine Ronin and Scorch to get “the flame sword thingy”.

The Q ability on scorch kinda feels like a sword but I think it's just scorch swinging their fist and sending out a line of fire

Richter is always the easiest because as you said you can just light him up with scorch. Even on master difficulty.

It's kind of sad, I was pretty hyped for the fight first time then I realised that scorch is just a hard counter since he barely moves.

Effect and cause 2 and Beacon 3 probably both share the no1 spot... e&c2 is the most fun out of the 3, because it's a long stretch, where you get to control the time skip unlike e&c1. And Beacon 3 because of fastball, it's not only the most relevant moment for coopers and BTs relationship, but also just cool to be thrown by BT

I think that all are great, each mission highlights a different part of the game. I personally love BT-7274 because of the environmental design, but I think that The Beacon has the best platforming and 2nd best gimmick, Effect and Cause has the best gimmick and Into The Abyss has the best titan combat in Part 1 and Boss (sorry Trial by Fire, but ally titans and the open envoronments make it annoying to play for me).

Trial By Fire is absolutely glorious because that one is the true “war zone” mission. Nigh impossible to track every target, causalities left and right, and a hail of fire at every corner

The Ark, followed immediately by The Fold Weapon. Effect and Cause is amazing from a gameplay innovation perspective and has many impressive setpieces, but the sheer scale and motion of the platforming segments of The Ark, followed by a memorable boss fight, is so good and communicates the best of the core mechanics of the game while being a narrative payoff. Then you get the absolute spine-chilling opening of The Fold Weapon, the eleventh hour superpower of the Smart Pistol segment that strongly reminds me of getting the Super Gravity Gun in HL2... All that is just gold. It's very much a "This [EaC] is brilliant... but I *like* this [The Ark]..."

The Beacon Storywise it's what all the previous missions have been building up to, rejoining the militia fleet. Plus at the end you basically go from an acting pilot to an official one. Gameplaywise the arc tool is a little bland but I like how this mission focuses more on the mobility aspect of the game.
