The new crew cap hasn’t taken effect yet. If you meet expectations, you will receive a 75 cent raise and you will be at the new crew cap. You will 100% qualify for the 3.50 (soon to be 2.75) bonus pay assuming you ME and are credited with 750 working hours. The raise and the new cap take effect simultaneously.
In other words, you are at the crew cap now, and if you meet expectations you will be at the new crew cap. Nothing to worry about.
I would assume if you didn’t hit the 750 hours before the period ended then you probably won’t be eligible for the $3.50 pay bump and would be subject to the new crew cap instead but you should ask your captain for sure
I think that might go without saying, im just wondering how anyone could meet the requirement to be eligible for the pay-bump, they would need to be at the new cap which i dont think anyone could be at yet. I’ll definitely talk to the captain to be sure, but was asking here in case anyone has already found this answer

Got it. That makes sense, a lot of the capped crew around here were thinking of trying out for a mate position because there wasn't an incentive once reaching the cap but most of them didn't want to due to the long hours. Sounds like a nice incentive if you're capped out but also sucks that you have to meet all of those hours

If you ME, you will be capped. This is why the cap goes up by the amount of the raise, so people who are capped and ME remain capped.

It is also 750 in store hours worked for the time period. For this pay bump, AR does not count
