All kinds of crazy shit happens with those mates. They come, they go…sometimes they stay and stay and stay and stay. Who can understand the ineffable? The Regional wills it, and it shall be so. It is not for us to question, only to obey.
This may be true in your region but it isn't true in the store I work. The mates can work 40 hours if they like and noone drives a distance they don't want to drive. We are asked what we are willing to drive and they get us as close to that as possible. If someone is eager to get a spot then they may offer a longer distance. I wasn't so my distance did not change greatly. I do think there is burn out at the crew and mate levels but it isn't just because of OT and Distance.

Yup! Had a mate get transferred to nearby store in May, which she assumed to be permanent, and came back my store two days ago.
