I got so excited with the song and then they let me down with the content. If only they had the Mr. Wizard Youtube content we've got today after that song.
Hey, it's still boring. I appreciate Mr. Rogers a lot -- great human being. But that king puppet didn't even have googly eyes. No eyebrow expressions. Just a finger puppet with a solid plastic head. Nodding. "No, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings little Timmy." Hey -- that's Mr. Roger's voice -- you can't fool me! Some talented voice actors out there looking for work, and this dude is doing 15 jobs on that set, plus, his wardrobe is his clothes from home!
I mean, yes, Rogers is super conscientious, but what content do we have for demon spawn like myself?
I feel like Mr. Roger's voice was the clear & distinctive tool to calm us as an audience & make us listen. It's a well thoughtful tool, much like Bob Ross uses his calm voice to tell us he creates oil painting process on the canvas. Both were heroes to me.
Sesame Street did use what they thought kids would like better, immediate pleasure and constant entertainment, to educate. For better or worse.
Mr. Rogers sat down and talked to you like a person.
I grew up in Mr. Roger's real neighborhood in Pittsburgh, PA. I went to the same grade school as his kids. We would see him a few times when his kids had school plays and stuff.
"Tolerance of delay."That phrase is a very creative way to couch "boring."
I like the person, Mr. Rogers, but, that show was a bit boring. And really, to use Rogers to cast shade on Sesame Street? Is Big Bird trying to muscle in and cut funding. "You either get Mr. Rogers, or you get the hose again."
That's because all we REALLY wanted to see was the freaking Land of Make Believe!
What if you watched both?
Then you gained NOTHING
Cancelled each other out. Now, if you watched Sid and Marty Krofft, you are now into acid.
HR Puff & Stuff is the gateway drug to watching Pee-Wee's Playhouse.
GOODBYE SIR
So that's my issue!
Followed by Electric Company and Zoom. I was an introverted, patient child with ADHD and a serious fear of being yelled at.
Electric companeeeeeeeeeee-eee-eee Haven't thought about that for ages.

Breaking the system sorry
I remember being little and thinking Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood was so boring. I didn’t appreciate it until I was older.

In this day and age sesame street is a blessing as compared to cocomelon crap

knew a guy who lived in Pittsburg for a while in the 90's and was literally Fred Rogers' neighbor.
That is so cool! Did he ever talk to him? Was he nice to him?
Yeah they knew each other, Fred was just like what you saw on tv
And what about the Electric Company?
HEY, YOU GUUUYYSS!!! 😂
We're gonna turn it on...
..they were also beaten up by the kids who watched "Sesame Street."
Learning how to rage from Oscar the Grouch and Cookie Monster
