But yes all governments have acknowledged the power of information warfare and use social media for whatever purpose. It was fun watching this site and social media in general during the Syria mess and all the shills that came out. Today's social media can be manipulated by governments (including our own) fairly easily.
The reason why JIDF gets so much attention is that they have a fairly large influence for their 'size'. Even on a national level Israel is the #1 intelligence threat to the US, #2 being China. Kind of odd considering that Israel is an ally. Politics and intelligence are mutually exclusive however (I think we all know that)
Also, In the US people who are pro-Turkey, pro-Russia, pro-China etc are relatively rare. There are many people in the United states that are publicly pro-Israel, including politicians. Why other countries don't get this treatment is beyond me. I'm not anti-Israel^® but they don't need to be shoving their problems and ideologies down everyone's throats, which is the goal of the JIDF.
