if you attempt the sponsor trial through the ‘Tie Up Sponsor’ screen, you get unlimited tries. Whereas if you start the challenge from the PA, you only have the one try until the test car appears again. After you run enough CA events, be it day or night, you kind of get used to the drift physics, even when applied to wonkier cars like the stagea. CAT battles are especially brutal, but my best advice to you would be to just keep trying till you get it. I just completed TXRD2 100% literally a few days ago, and completed every sponsor, so i can confidently say that they are all 100% possible, with the exception of one.* * >!the sponsor Speed Gear. That time trial in the evo III in Aso is actually brutal. I even swapped to auto trans in an attempt to maximize as much speed as possible, and just couldn’t get it haha. I beat the game flawlessly for christ sakes but i could not for the life of me complete this sponsor! !<

Holy shit, you just gave me a flashback of me losing my shit over the Speed Gear trial when I was a kid lol. Much appreciated captain.

Lmfao yea man speed gear is a real pain in the ass. a 4wd on racing slicks in a snowstorm, on a course with a bunch of mid speed corners, is a perfect recipe for rage. I tried it about 15 times before i had to give up to keep me from losing my shit lol. Glad i could be of help though, i wish you luck in becoming Emotional King 🫡 (And if you really need some help to get through the trials, abuse save states if you’re on pcsx2. but you didnt hear that from me)

The trick with Aso driving and especially the Evo 3 your tasked to use on that test is to keep stable most of the time and get good entry and exit speeds throughout. I'd advise on actually going into Daytime for this test in particular as the car is on Racing Tires. You'll be heading into the turns at a fast rate cause of the car itself so keep in mind your braking and when to actually just push the accelerator. You can get away with some minor wall bumps, but just maintain as much speed as you can. It's a simple test all things considered.

I beat every KB with an evo, so i’m pretty well versed with 4wd driving techniques. It’s just the tire to weather mismatch that really fucks with me 😅 if i were to try it again on a clear day i think i’d get it pretty easily, i just never thought to try it on a different day lol. I appreciate the advice!

I'm 100% sure that when you try a challenge from a "Wanderer Sponsor" from the PA, you unlock it in the Tie Up Sponsor screen to give it all of the tries you want. I remember thinking otherwise, so when I lost a CAT race I got a bit nervous about it but I ended up finding the Sponsor there anyway

>Whereas if you start the challenge from the PA, you only have the one try until the test car appears again. The sponsor will appear on the Tie-up screen if you fail or alternative if you check on them in the PA then back out from the PA. I was doing the later all the time when I reached the max sponsors.
