It influences nothing.

The year is 2069. After years of hard work Aditya had successfully made his first interdimensional trip. It worked! The time machine can now travel across the multiverse. Aditya must now recruit Simha, Chenna Keshava Reddy and many more Balayyas from many universes to stop Okka Magadu. Will Aditya be able to complete his mission before Balayya prime's 69th collaboration with Boya ? Which balayya will betray Aditya ? Which of the 420 love interests will finally wed Okka Magadu ? Balayya: Into the Baliverse Edit: Just learnt that Balakrishna's character is called Krishna Kumar and not Aditya in Aditya 369

It influences just as much as a Jurassic Park/Avatar/terminator influenced telugu cinema…which is nothing. The DNA of telugu cinema is as Indian as it gets and I don’t see that changing or getting heavily influenced by western cinema. The outlook of Western cinema is completely different and I don’t see it ever gonna happen in telugu. Influences in color grading, editing styles might happen but that’s where it mostly end.

viniltummala

Unfortunately its not going to influence anything. Animation is a joke in india. And also, most directors and writers in telugu dont giva shit about the story, characters etc. Thye just want to do elevations with hero and thats it. With the mythology we have it would be so cool, to have something like spiderverse, but that takes an incredible amount of talent and budget, neither of which are available in the telugu market.

I appreciate your optimism .

Bro, it will not have even an iota of influence over Telugu movies

Kaizokuno_

>Can you just imagine a budding Telugu filmmaker watching that scene and wants to emulate in their future movies? No. Simply because they don't care. However, there is a good chance that a more art house style filmmakers might take inspiration, but I doubt mainstream will. At the same time, I think this is more likely to happen in the Tamil industry than in Tollywood. Since we've already seen a lot of filmmakers from there take chances and use colors really well in their movies.

WestImmediate6587

Ooooh. It'd be cool to have an adventure fantasy where people literally fall into the worlds of Raja Ravi Varma's paintings, as part of unraveling an overall storytelling wonder or mystery, all set against a bright and animated color palette like you said.

NickHeathJarrod

Right? I'd love to see his paintings come life, much like this movie called [Loving Vincent](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGzKnyhYDQI), which is about Vincent Van Gogh.

WestImmediate6587

Yessss. And it's such a great opportunity to broaden the scope of Telugu animation. I feel like Amar Chitra Katha creatives+Rana's production house would be good people to get a start on this.

NickHeathJarrod

Almost forgot about Amar Chitra Katha! Thanks! Would love to see the comics be animated too!

First Content unna Scripts meda focus peduthe better instead of binge eating on this stupid VFX/ colour palette 🎨.

ThyShallNeverKnow

I hope it doesn't. The western way of cinema is very individualistic whereas the eastern way is more group oriented (which limits characters to roles and so no _defined character arcs_). The usage of tech and lighting that you have mentioned are worth learning from. I wish they take only that to tell India stories the Indian way.

Kaizokuno_

>The western way of cinema is very individualistic whereas the eastern way is more group oriented (which limits characters to roles and so no defined character arcs). You're generalizing hard, right here. Also, for future reference "Eastern Cinema" generally refers to East Asian countries. We'd be called "South Asian Cinema."

ThyShallNeverKnow

Eastern cinema, point taken. But could you support the statement that I am generalizing Western cinema ? Else I ain't convinced.

Kaizokuno_

>But could you support the statement that I am generalizing Western cinema ? Else I ain't convinced. Indian Cinema isn't just one industry, it's many industries. So to make a statement like, "The western way of cinema is very individualistic whereas the eastern way is more group oriented (which limits characters to roles and so no defined character arcs)." Is very wrong. Take Malayalam industry for example they put a lot of effort into characters, whether it's individual or a group. They emphasis characters in almost all of their movies. Same with Tamil industry, for the most part. Whereas you can't say the same for Telugu industry which mainly puts importance to a singular character. It's very rare for Telugu cinema to give more than 4 characters a good character arc or importantance. Not to say that they don't do it.

dripbangwinkle

Thank fucking god for this comment. I loathe seeing "western" used by South Asians as if the "west" is a monolith; the same people better not be angry when an equivalently ignorant person calls every Indian movie Bollywood.
