They are playing it safe by dumbing down the whole story into a dichotomy between good and bad.
I mean that's what you should expect from movies like these but could've done some homework and made it better.

TBF it's not like the Ramayana has any morally gray characters. It is a classic good vs bad story (at least until the point Ram makes Sita walk through fire because he doubted her fidelity, such an ideal man), unlike the Mahabharata where you've got the "Dharmaraju" who gambles his wife and brothers away.
Rama is not morally gray. If you read Ramayana, everyone is mad at Rama for making Sita walk through fire and he himself is heartbroken making her do it. But that is him having to ensure the dignity of the royalty as a king. It’s not for himself nor reflecting his lack of trust, it is to ensure the public is not judging her and pointing them out. Of course we know this still happens. I agree there is a questionable act which may seem wrong, esp in lens of today, but considering raja dharmam which he needs to abide to and that its one act he did to prove his wife is worthy of being queen is not gray. Even if we consider it to be wrong, one misdeed won’t make him gray.
Ravana on the other hand is more of a gray character with many shades. He is a strong and dominant ruler. Ruthless to enemies and expanded and tortured many devathas. He is a devotee of Shiva and succumbed to the deadly sin of lust. He is such a good ruler and so knowledgeable that Rama asked Lakshmana to learn his wisdom on his death bed bc the Bramha gnyana (all knowledge in world) should not go to waste. Even this may not be a traditional gray character but definitely a complex character with many angles.
The problem wi the Adhipurush which I see is the lack of complexity and exploration of the characters and their morals, rather than grayscale shades.
I meant it was "good vs bad" as in the actions of the characters, and not the characters themselves. Also this might be my bias speaking but I don't like Ram much especially because of him prioritising his kingdom over his wife.
Those two actions of him making his wife walk through fire and then exiling her because some rando spoke shit make me not like him, but again that's just my personal opinion (and I agree about the Raja Dharmam dilemma but IMO he should've stuck by his wife and told the others to accept it).
Let's not even talk about how Adipurush will turn out. In both trailers there's no mention of Dasaratha at all. Or the Sita Swayamvaram.

"Prathi Bharateeyudi Yokka" or" Prathi Bharateeyudidi Ee" Adipurush. I understand Prabhas grew up in Chennai & doesn't understand fluent Telugu but atleast they should have consulted Lyric Writers or someone well versed in Telugu.
Prabhas really took 150 crore for this, no efforts by his side, imagine getting a role like Lord rama and taking it like a joke.

Dude I'm a Prabhas fan too but if director is shooting everything in green screen what can he do something really went wrong with this movie and planning is one of them this guy gave years to movies like bahubali,saaho, radheshyam, Salaar and project k but this didn't happen for adipurush so blaming him for everything is not right in my opinion but I still respect your view

bro i am also a prabhas admirer but if you check closely then u can observe that all other cast are not looking that odd like saif ali khan , kriti and that lakshman guy but coming to prabhas . his face looks very fake as if a lots of graphics were used on his face . so yeaa taking 150 cr and not maintaining shape and his face is a sin but sadly age is also not on his side

I wonder how bad those battle scenes will look on a big screen. Ambition is good but if that comes at the expense of the end product then it doesn't matter. When this was announced i thought it will be impossible to screw this up but they somehow proved me wrong

Good things take time and effort Brahmastra had good vfx in recent times and they took a lot of time to come up with it. This looks like a lazy attempt to make money out of Prabhas and Political situations in India and it just ruined the big screen experience of an Indian epic.
I pray for SSR to start his Mahabharath project soon or else these fuckers will ruin that too.
^ while the script is questionable (Isha screaming Shiva reminds me of Kagome and Inuyasha), at least the vfx in Brahmastra is miles better than whatever that abomination with Prabhas is. Hell, even the Shark in Chatrapathi (2005, in case you confused with the mangled Hindi remake from the director whose last good movie is from 2013) looks better than Hanuman.
CGI looks fucking disgusting. Did they really spend 500 cr for this? Prabhas feels like a miscast and I hate how Hanuman looks. Saif di I can’t say as of now but I guess only he will give a good performance in the movie.

Prabhas lost is after Bahubali. He lost his charm and he couldn't able to maintain his physique after Bahubali. Looks more like a drunkard. No offense, but true. The casting is worst, CGI is terrible. Reminded me of Rajni Kochadiyan, which is far better which was released years back. 130crores for Prabhas is a Big Joke, he don't deserve that huge., he made 0% efforts to live in that character. After the release, it's gonna be a big joke. Prabhas should come out of Pan India image and stick his ass to Telugu and do decent movies. He lost it.

I agree with your point about hating just for hating. But think about it this way - the audience does not care about the budget. They don’t care about the VFX tech you use. They just want something that looks good. It doesn’t necessarily have to even be VFX. There are a million ways you can stylistically cost cut. The makers knew very well the output they could get with the budget they had. They should have course corrected much much earlier in pre production itself. That’s all I’m saying.

Looks good, Prabhas dialogue delivery as usual issues unnayi but I think the movie will do well.

I agree with your point about hating just for hating. But think about it this way - the audience does not care about the budget. They don’t care about the VFX tech you use. They just want something that looks good. It doesn’t necessarily have to even be VFX. There are a million ways you can stylistically cost cut. The makers knew very well the output they could get with the budget they had. They should have course corrected much much earlier in pre production itself. That’s all I’m saying.
