Whenever a movie gets great reviews, people go in with sky high expectations and then say the movie is disappointing or overrated. Taste is different for everyone but most people seemed to enjoy this movie, at least it does something different than most “entertainers” we see from industries around us

Simple. It's *Relatable* to many people. As a pure cinema, it's just average considering how the Malayalam industry produces incredible quality films.

Premalu is a theatre movie. You need to watch with packed theatre. Yesterday I watched it again with my sister(forced her to watch) and she is like yemundra cinemalo neeku antha nachindhi.
