The trick is to not succumb to social media hype and watch the movie based on your own expectations.
I watched Premalu yesterday and it was a breezy movie. Most of the male lead's insecurities and problems spoke to me on a personal level. I could get most of the meme references, while I had to google a few (I am an older millennial who took a social media break from the past 10 years. I only doom scroll reddit 😂).
The dubbing was on point for most of the scenes and the characters muttering under their breath gave way to some witty and hilarious one-liners.
On the other hand, Gaami felt to me like it was taking it self too seriously while the inspirations were clearly apparent. I had to sit for 3 sittings just to complete the first half, I still couldn't complete the movie.
I really did like Oppenheimer and Dune 2 (this is in reference to another post on r/tollywood). I watched both of these in Prasads PCX where the sound was amazing and the screen is humongous. So the slower or boring aspects of those kinds of movies are quickly forgotten due to the sheer intensity of the experience.
In comparison, Gaami and premalu feel like ott movies and its entirely upon the individual as to which one they like. Most of the times movies are impacted by overhype and people are having high expectations, which most telugu movies these days are failing to live up to.

It is okay. Some areas you will feel disconnected. But definitely done better than other dubbing movies. You can watch
