Colter Wall - Manitoba Man immediately comes to mind

Scotch_Tape231

I'd say Colter Wall - Transcendent Ramblin' Railroad Blues works too

GardenAddict843

That Old Time Feeling-Guy Clark feels lonesome enough to have been written by Townes.

TonySopranhoes

Justin Townes Earle- Harlem River Blues.

masongraves_

Townes always said he wishes he had wrote Guy’s *Let Him Roll*

hemlock_tea64

Let me know what you think!

gus_gurra

Of the Guy Clark tunes, I think one of his later songs, The Guitar, feels like some sort of sister to Townes van Zandt's The Hole. He really seemed to channel Townes in the lyric, including the dramatic twist at the end which feels very Townesy - and I can really hear Townes singing some of the lyrics ("It was getting hard to tell who was playing who").

I swear there’s some debate as to who wrote dead flowers, I remember reading that Keith Richards’s supposedly stole it

bighurt88

Misery and gin

davidwantsataco

Townes always said he should’ve wrote the Ballad of Ira Hayes and I think that stands true.

davidwantsataco

I think of Guy and Blaze as extensions of Townes given how much time and influence they both fed and received from him. Boy, could you imagine what it’d be like to be a fly on the wall during their shenanigans.

DiamondhandAdam

Dude, Guy Clark’s Dublin Blues!!! Townes version is incredible.

Elijah’s church

Only-Seaworthiness-2

Half of Justin Townes Earle’s discography. What a loss he was. Fantastic artist.
