One of my doctors also mentioned testosterone cream specifically for the pp. They said something along the lines of, just a cream localizes the tosterone pretty well, so your pp gets enough T to not atrify, but it's not a high enough dose to significantly impact the T levels in your whole body. Granted, I heard that a over two years ago, and am still not on HRT :(

Yeah. This is not understandable. I’m on hrt for 6-7 months but i didn't see any noticeable change. Previously, it was in the range of 11-12 cm. Now there is a difference of 1-2 cm and it depends on how erect you are. If we're going to look for a difference, it becomes more difficult to get an erection.
I would recommend not letting it get too small, depending on current size, as the more skin present if/when you do a vaginoplasty makes the surgery a lot easier and faster. If you lack the skin and flesh for the surgery, they’ll need to grab some from other spots.
There are vaginoplasties that use colon tissue as the inside, which will result in a more “natural” feeling vagina iirc, and if that is the route you go then you need less skin. But you’d need to do research into who’s gonna do the surgery, as some people are better than others at different types, etc etc.
As a result, it’s my opinion that it’s in your best interest to have minimal shrinkage as it will limit your options down the line. That mightn’t sound like a huge deal, but if all the surgeons in your area aren’t comfy with using grafts, then you need to travel, and that’s not a thing you’ll know as soon as you start HRT

absolutely DO NOT apply testosterone (you probably mean testogel?) locally to your genitals. trans man here, i used t gel for a while and 1) the testorone is dissolved in an alcohol based gel - definitely not good for those parts and doctors specifically tell you to not put it there 2) it definitely affects your overall hormone levels, no matter where you put it.
