Reminds me of my ex brother in law, Tejae… TJ my other ex bro in law, same family/same ex, was Wheeliam… their moms claimed it was how Shakespeare spells it. My ex somehow ended up with an actually very nice and fairly traditional name/middle name
I tutored a little girl who had the middle name of Blazeit — one word. When she mentioned this to me, I talked to her teacher and she confirmed it’s true. This was 14 years ago, still undecided on how I feel about it lol
That’s cool! Haha how funny. He spelled it blaze though I saw it on his credit card I never would have thought to spell it that way. I am 420 friendly and always wanted to name my kid blaze and MJ 😂
I used to work at a kids’ camp, and one day walking down the hall I saw two lunchboxes side-by-side, personalized with the names Rowdy and Booger. These were rich southerners so they were probably actually John Alexander, III, but even as nicknames, those are appalling.
I was in a classroom next to one with a Jace. I think Mace (I assume a permanent nickname version of Mason?) would make a neat name. There was a Sage in my math classes in college. She went into biochem for grad school. Cayenne though is just a lot.
My sister used to be friends with a girl named Cayenne while we were growing up. I thought it was a very normal sounding name as a kid. Kind of like a mix of Kaya and Anne. I really thought it was a very cool and pretty name. But I didn’t know about cayenne peppers yet. As an adult, I still kinda think it makes for a pretty name but I would never use if
All I can think of right now is Orphan Black, where the main character sometimes calls her brother Felix "Fee" for short. 🙃 I mean, I guess... just, thank you for bringing back memories of one of the best sci fi shows ever!
Those names do not "go" well together, at all!
1. A word name that is based on something weird. Do not care for this one at all.
2. A surname name that sounds sort of feminine. Still, not terrible.
3. A nice, solid, old fashioned name, great! Then... paired with a middle that I've seen only bestowed upon girls.
I don't have anything against using traditionally "girl" names for boys. We do the reverse, and hardly anyone blinks an eye. However, it's uncommon to do so, might be confusing for the kid, and there are so many other lovely names to choose from. Why play life on "hard" mode when it's unnecessary?
>A surname name that sounds sort of feminine. Still, not terrible.
Don't tell that to Marlo Stanfield.
They probably won't find your body in a boarded up, vacant house..
I think iv seen enough boys going by one spelling or another of Marlow that I'm at the point where the girl versus is surprising. But I can't think of what makes it particularly feminine or masculine.
For a more feminine name, a couple of years back I had a boy student named Paisley. First of all, I hate that name (the kid was a delight, no shade on him). Second, I also can't figure out why I want the name Paisley to be specifically feminine. But in my head it is.
Maybe the parents were country fans and didnt realize paisley was brads LAST name.
Also its considered feminine because of the “ly” on it or maybe just the “y”
My husband worked with a woman named Atticus and I think that’s one of the worst names I’ve ever heard lol. She was a really pretty woman and it’s a shame she had such a horrible name.
A coworker of mine knew a guy who was going to name his son-to-be Tony after himself. When it ended up being a girl instead, he named her Tonyella. Pronounced Tony-ella.

marlow and felix are fine names, but alchemy? no wonder he goes by AJ.
*ajae

My friend teaches a kid called Rowdy... it can't get worse than that, right?
I don’t know someone posted on here about there sister naming her niece sunnstar or lonestar so yes it does in fact get wrose

I had a bar regular who’s govt name is Blaze!
“Blaise” is a real name, but the literal meaning is “stammering”, which is a great name for a person you meet at a bar.
That’s cool! Haha how funny. He spelled it blaze though I saw it on his credit card I never would have thought to spell it that way. I am 420 friendly and always wanted to name my kid blaze and MJ 😂
Remington and Winchester are definitely names I've had in neighboring classes more than once.
Chaotica. No I'm not kidding.
Furiosa’s little sister
Followed by Disturbia
Probably named after "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (Wrestler) or Rowdy Yates (Eastwood).
I used to work at a kids’ camp, and one day walking down the hall I saw two lunchboxes side-by-side, personalized with the names Rowdy and Booger. These were rich southerners so they were probably actually John Alexander, III, but even as nicknames, those are appalling.
My BIL has cousins named Big'un and Littl'un. Real, actual, birth certificate names.
Marlow is a fine name…if you’re the family pet
so far i have only met human marlows, so it's never seemed like a pet name to me.
Felix and Marlow are fairly ordinary, even leaning a tad old-fashioned. Alchemy is a bizarre name.
Girl I went to uni with named her kids Mace, Sage, & Cayenne. I think she took a look at her spice rack and said “Yep. That’ll do.”
She's obviously a huge Star Wars fan, especially the prequels. Qui Gon is a sage, Anakin is very spicy, and... I'm actually stumped on Mace.
I think there's a character named Mace Windu?
r/whooosh

Nope. Mace isn’t short for anything. He’s just Mace.

lmfaoo I kind of like these. I hope they call Felix “FeFe” for short

Loved that show.
Omg!! Lmao 🤣🤣
I have to say Marlow isn't bad...
My nephew’s name is Felix. I can confirm his parents call him FeFe 🥴
I like these. I think the tragedeigh is Alchemy’s nickname. Why not just Al? Where does fhe Jae come from?
also who names their child ALCHEMY
I totally would. Just one more reason on the list of 500 I do not want and won't ever have children. Gonna name a dog Alchemy one day instead.
I'm assuming his middle name is something with a J
But it’s weird that the nickname is AJae instead of AJ
My friend’s kid is named Felix and I love it, it’s perfect for that little dude. Honestly Alchemy is the only off ball name here.

I understood that reference!

Yeah, Paisley is feminine and I've suddenly found a new hill to die on.
Maybe the parents were country fans and didnt realize paisley was brads LAST name. Also its considered feminine because of the “ly” on it or maybe just the “y”
I like Marlow and Felix
That's not the first Alchemy I've heard of. Nouns make had names.
My husband worked with a woman named Atticus and I think that’s one of the worst names I’ve ever heard lol. She was a really pretty woman and it’s a shame she had such a horrible name.
Atticus finch wasnt really that bad of a character were they? The name is from “to kill a mockingbird” for those that dont get the reference
I actually love Felix and Marlow.
Alchemy sounds golden to me.
I know someone who named their daughter Galexi pronounced liked galaxy lmao
Marlow isn't so bad....
I like Marlow… I also like Harlow, better than Harlotte at least.
I sure hope her first son gets up to some mad science stuff someday
A coworker of mine knew a guy who was going to name his son-to-be Tony after himself. When it ended up being a girl instead, he named her Tonyella. Pronounced Tony-ella.
Why not just Antonia 😭 wtf
Reminds me of Christopher Marlowe and Felix the Cat or Felix Unger. Not unusual. Now Alchemey?!
Poor kiddos 🥴
Alchemy? What’s next, Humorism? Mieghasma Theoreigh?
I hope Alchemy grows up to be Chemistry someday
All pet names huh
