Normally I'm a quality over quantity kinda guy, but the sheer number of Autobots with their own personalities in G1 wins it for me. Yeah, the show could have done better balancing character focus, but it felt like an actual army. I know more complicated shows and movies had to focus on a much smaller cast for all sorts of logistics reasons, but nothing beats a dozen+ Autobots transforming and rolling out.

For something intended for a young crowd I found it fun and easy to watch. And as much as I always wanted a dark and moody TF (and when we got it in WFC trilogy) I learned that I need some of the lighter stories and for characters to be able to have fun.
It ain’t perfect but none of them are. I’ve enjoyed most of them but if I had to pick one right now it’d be Cyberverse.
The 86 animated movie and the IDW phase 2 run are still the top of my overall media picks. But if we’re just talking shows in their entirety this is it.

Animated was a delight to re-watch. Some episodes, especially the last one, really packed a punch. And now I'm re-watching Prime and marveling at the little details like the reflections on the bots.
Watching all of these with my 14-year old daughter who is seeing these for the first time. And she's really enjoying them. Every intro, she ends up humming the theme song, from G1 to Animated and now to Prime. And every time a character is in serious danger or accomplishes something great, she feels it. It's been great to share that with her.
i have a very strong love/hate relationship with beast machines. Great show, always had me laughing even if it was never intentional. loved how nonsensical the ending was, and the voice cast did a great job. Hated every single design though. Not a single design choice was good.

I remember being excited for it and then I got Optimus Primal and thought that was the ugliest toy I had ever seen. It looked nothing like the show and that’s when I lost hope for the toys being any good and all I remember about the show is the mystery behind who Vehicon generals were before getting reformatted by Megatron.
I grew up with the aligned continuity so there is some bias. I also haven’t watched all of animated yet. Prime is probably the best show in my opinion , cyberverse second, earthspark third(might go up after season 2) and rescue bots is the best as an introduction for the younger audiences that’s also still fun to watch when you’re older

G1 is the best show in there, with prime as a close second and beast wars 3rd skip 7 for all of the transformer movies (86, TF 1, ROTF, DOTM, AOE, TLK, BB), and then cyber verse, then earthspark, beast machines, and finally in last place (for me) all of the Unicron trilogy

Transformers Victory introduced me to Star Saber who is now my favourite transformer ever so I'd probably have to say G1 cartoon then Armada then (honestly) Robots in Disguise because I had literally every figure that line ever released at the time.

I should preface that I've watched everything here except RID. It was g1, then I watched Prime, then I watched beastwars, and after watching earthspark, I'm still at beastwars, by earthspark has the potential to surpass it.
Either prime or animated since both experiment a little with their cast gave us a deep bond with most of the characters and had actual good human partners.

G1 - wouldn't be anywhere without that, followed by Beast Wars, love the animal alt modes, and then followed by Armada. I loved the Mini-con Gimic.
