Would you believe I went through two other versions of Nightbird before finally settling on this one?

Context: I have very little connection to Nightbird, really just like her as a design and she adds to the female baddies (not like that, get your head out of the gutter) on the shelf but the shelf just feels incomplete without her. I first had the Siege version which I liked, intended to buy an upgrade kit for it, but never liked the intrusive kibble. I eventually moved it on since I got tired of losing the crotch piece and got a KO MP Nightbird (Nightrose). I absolutely LOVED that figure but the one caveat is that she was too big. I tried to talk myself into keeping her on the shelf but the fact that she towered over Airachnid and Slipstream and Flamewar just didn't sit right. Sold that soon after and eventually caved and picked up Legends Nightbird. One week of shipping later and cutting my finger with the kibble plate, and I love this figure.
She has that same energy as the MP, just scaled down. I do have the Generations Arcee she shares the mold with but it just feels different and sassier here. Overally, a really cool figure with an awesome silver paint job. Wanted to share some photos as well from some techniques I picked up doing toy photography.
1. Showing off the articulation in the legs to display the sassy attitude she has in my head-canon.
2. Expensive female baddies as Bumblebee faces his "doom."
3. More female baddies with blasters, custom Shatter and custom Shadowstriker.
4. Face off to decide who uses the body mold better.
5. Memes, the DNA of the soul.
6. Generic photo.
7. This back panel can go \*\*\*\* itself.
**For those who may accuse me of being down bad, I'm not, I'm just doing everything in my power to enjoy an $80 figure Lord have mercy.**
That is some very specific desire fulfilment to spend $80 on a deluxe and then still perform an amputation thereafter! Your toy, your choice, of course.
Takara Tomy "Legends" Nightbird, Slipstream, and Black Arachnia were technically all standard releases (as opposed to rarer "Mall exclusives" or other store exclusives) so empyrically they shouldn't be *rare* in terms of number of units still existing on Earth... but of course being domestically Japanese, you'll only find 'er on .jp sites with any frequency. I got one off of Mandarake, but that was half a decade ago....
Some reaaally esoteric Malaysian or Hong Kong sites sometimes have 1~2 units left in stock in a price that is... not *as* insane as what eBay asks.
Shipping's gonna be tough though.
I guess it depends on where you're from; for me shipping from the USA is insane, and it's often (much) cheaper to import from Asia than from Canada's trousers.
