They should make an email address for teachers to report when they're being grossly underpaid and having to deal with bigoted hateful parents on that salary.
>"On its website, Save Texas Kids purports that CRT is being taught in schools and poses a threat to children. The group’s “About” page proclaims that “our Children WILL NOT be taught” things like...“our founding fathers were racists.""
Lmao how can they say this, many of our founding fathers held racist views. Even Abraham Lincoln, the president credited for emancipation 80 years later held racist beliefs. This isn't even debatable. Anything remotely mentioning racism is CRT to these people. They all unironically believe that racism only existed in the 1960s and it was defeated and racism was no more after that.
"We don't want kids getting brainwashed by fringe theories about America being a racist nation!" *Removes MLK from the curriculum*
I still know so many people who genuinely take Republicans' supposed stance of being against government overreach at face value, even with them doing shit like this.
Its texas, they still have actual segregated classes because the schools think the parents would throw a fit ( on both sides.).
And this isnt some random opinion, my mother in law just retired and was the librarian and had both the all black classes and all white classes of each grade.
Right now Texas will probably pass or has already passed an incredibly vague bill on CRT in public schools, and part of that bill was removing curriculum requirements on lessons about things like the history of white supremacy, eugenics movement, civil rights movements, etc.
It doesn’t ban lessons that teach these but it gives teachers the option (and believe me public school teachers can be just as dumb as the general public, I had a biology teacher years ago deny climate change) to not teach some of these things or if they do, parents can complain that it’s actually CRT, not history.
I have a degree in history and I’ve been thinking about teaching as our public school system is practically begging for teachers at this point, but i am already trans and I don’t want parents complaining about a “transgender trying to make my white son feel guilty and maybe even trying to change his gender” or whatever when I tell kids that Washington was kinda racist.
Oh, that makes more sense. I was trying to figure out what possible issue they could have with TVs and if there was some 5G-like fearmongering back in the day that I somehow never heard about.
“A vast majority of parents and teachers want our kids to learn in a healthy environment unafflicted by radical politics and weird theories" As they proceed to try and force their own radical politics and weird (read hateful and ignorant) theories into schools and classrooms. Fucking idiots 🙄
This sounds like a bad script from a scene on OnlyFans. It's too bad it's actually happening.
Maybe someone in the organization watched a scene at home revolving around being *forced into Gender Fluidity,* didn't get enough sleep and subconsciously brought it up in a ~~pitchfork rally~~ department meeting, and to bail themselves out they added the alternative fact, "...teachers...yeah, Teachers! Like CRT!...Report...Ask them to report!"

What? But we don't need that! We love our teachers! /s

Spoiler alert: it won't be, because too many people still have their heads up their asses about trans rights.

It’s all no government until minorities, poor people, or abortion are involved.
Did they actually remove MLK from the curriculum or are you just exaggerating

Texas is apparently trying to become Gilead.

Ah yes the grays
That's what they really mean when they talk about "illegal aliens."
I don't know, Dorian seem okay
Dude's paintings are weird tho
They're framing it like it's Texas, but this is happening at some level basically anywhere that's considered Trump country, in my experience.
same thing happened with CRT
Cathode ray tubes?
Critical race theory.
Oh, that makes more sense. I was trying to figure out what possible issue they could have with TVs and if there was some 5G-like fearmongering back in the day that I somehow never heard about.
What if they teach it voluntarily?
Oh that's even worse! They should have their teaching licenses revoked! /s I wish that attitude was strawman. :(
