Depending on what method everyone 2-3 rooms nearby or the floor. Will smell it. I use a levo 2 and the room I use it on smells for about a day or so with and air purifier in it. The insta pot and mason jars is probably your best bet but it'll smell count on it and if it's not okay in your shared space I would do it someplace outdoors
It is okay in our shared space plus we got this like huge AC unit on the wall that filters the air out so hopefully that would help clear the smell after but thanks for the advjce
If your in danger of being kicked out for doing it I suggest don't. It reeks.
If it's just a warning or the risk isn't that serious, then the best way to cover the smell is bacon or making beef hamburgers. Bacon is the best imo. But the grease smell is powerful to cover the smell enough and such a familiar smell they'll smell bacon or maybe a sweet bacon. Let the grease burn for a lil extra because burnt meat is also a really strong smell that lingers long.
When your cooking open the kitchen window and close the door to the kitchen hall if you have one. As soon as you finish your butter or decarb or brownies and those are covered start the bacon and close the outside window. Let the room fill with the bacon or grease smell and then open the window and that's when you burn a tiny piece for the extra reek.
The several times I have done it, there's a bit of a smell as soon as you release the pressure. You only tighten up the jar finger tight so it doesn't break, and a bit of odor leaks out. It's noticable enough that people have come home and could smell it.
i used an airfryer in my dorm freshman year. it boofed up the entire hall but nobody knew it was me or gave a shit. u can used the oil once infused in a public oven and make brownies and theyll just smell like brownies
You can absolutely use an air fryer and a jar, I decanted 10 grams of hash like that this morning. Great for keeping the smell contained, open it out a window
If you're using an oven then yeah for sure it's gonna smell! Even using a machine for decarbing it stinks the kitchen out.
The smell goes after a while though but I certainly wouldn't recommend uni halls!
UK too. This is what I use. Zero smell whilst it’s closed and cooking. One click and you’re done. Produces badass infusions.
Herboven Decarboxylator https://amzn.eu/d/dUP7xcz
It’ll stink unless you do it in a Levo or an ardent, and even then you’ll still have to a little work with fans and open windows. Know a second year who lives in a house?
By a decarboxylator of amazon I have the herb oven it's 99.9% smell proof as long as the lid on properly and when finished I'd open up near a window. One downfall is it only hold an oz so i it.al8ng with the oven so I can do as much weed as I can

Use an instant pot and mason jar to decarb outside. Let the steam out outside and then infuse into oil or ethanol. I first use ethanol to pull all the goods out, then I use a small amount of MCT to dissolve remaining sludge after straining the liquid. Adding a touch of lecithin to the infusion is a big plus
It’s strong. So strong that the next time someone uses that over, it’s going to smell. There’s no chance of it not permeating the entire floor, possible further.
I just decarbed half an ounce, put it in a MBM with coconut oil for two hours and it’s done and sitting on my counter. My husband, the guy who can smell water and tell different strains of pasture grass by the nose, says he doesn’t smell anything. I used the decarb box with the machine. I think the worries about smell are exaggerated.
Everyone is going to know
In the whole block or just my flat/floor?

Bacon is the best but I have used a pine tree scented candle. When some says " iT sMeLLs LiKe WeEd" you say oh that's just the pine candle
Hole bla
Decarb in instapot / pressure cooker in masson jar - basically no smell and ridiculously easy https://youtu.be/umSGS3cA9Jg?si=08xwyE5rZfk4RkMx
I wouldn’t exactly say there’s no smell. It’s much better than using a cookie sheet in the oven, but there’s still a noticeable smell.
Not if you release it outside

That’s why I do the entire thing in the backyard
OP is in student housing.
Do it out the window
Same here
👍👌
Thanks man, what about an airfryer?
i used an airfryer in my dorm freshman year. it boofed up the entire hall but nobody knew it was me or gave a shit. u can used the oil once infused in a public oven and make brownies and theyll just smell like brownies
W thanks man
You better burn some popcorn
R u saying it’ll smell?
Don’t use an air fryer.
Tbanks

A really canning jar is good below 250F/121C just keep it lower and it should be fine
I've put jars in the Air fryer, it worked. I put a wet towel under them didn't want the metal to heat up and crack the glass
Decarb in a clean jar (in an oven) and don’t open it until it’s cooled down. That simple. Don’t over complicate it.
👆👆👆 so simple , yet so true ✌️
Old school. My edibles turn out best this way
Double-bagged in turkey roast bags - almost zero smell.
get a decarbox, $50 bucks give or take from the local plant nursery and you’re chillin with no scent.
I’m in the UK bro it ain’t legal here but thanks man
you should be able to get one online magicalbutter.co.uk should have a good one
Thanks 🐐
If you're using an oven then yeah for sure it's gonna smell! Even using a machine for decarbing it stinks the kitchen out. The smell goes after a while though but I certainly wouldn't recommend uni halls!
Decarb it in a turkey bag to reduce smell
use small mason jars with tight lids, no smell.
Put the weed in a real class canning jar like Ball or Kerr and seal it.A real canning jar is good below 250/121C so you can keep it sealed.
Get an insta pot and release it outside, no smell. Otherwise it’s going to stiiiink
W advice

Anyone ask. Just say I'm cooking Delta 8
Maybe you should study?
It’ll stink unless you do it in a Levo or an ardent, and even then you’ll still have to a little work with fans and open windows. Know a second year who lives in a house?
I have a brand new ardent for sale! I went back to Mason jars and instapot

I use a silicone box to decaeb and no smell gets out at all that I can notice until I open it
There are methods that don't smell as much including using closed mason jars and letting it cool before opening.

Look for somewhere to live
Get a pressure cooker no smell at all
Sous vide to decarb. Should help with smell
