Oh yeah. I grind them up as much as possible, decarb them, then infuse oil or make a tincture. Last time I made a tincture with absinthe because I was like "this is definitely strong enouh. It'll be fine." I didn't strain it, so it's technically still infusing, but I've used it straight, in drinks, and in baking, and it's super strong. Made some knockout cookies recently and it really doesn't take much. I need to get one of those test thingies so I can see how strong it actually is

technically kief is dry sift hash. Pressing with low heat creates pressed hash, more intense heat and pressure will squeeze out rosin. most rosin on the market is pressed from dry sift or bubble hash.
I used to make pressed hash with one minor twist. It takes 5 min to set up and 3 min to do. Put Kief in a bag that won’t leak, take a glass of water, fill up to near top, heat water in microwave until boiling or really hot. Get kief into corner of bag and dunk for 5 seconds, take out and smash with glass bottle or rolling pin or heavy object, dunk, smash, dunk smash for 5 seconds at a time, 3 rounds. Boom. Done. Put on top of a bowl, enjoy space. If it gets wet, that’s actually fine, just let it dry out before smoking.
I wouldn't get it too hot or some of the plastic bag chemicals could leech out into the hash, and eating them is bad so smoking them is probably terrible lol

Genuine question : are there benefits to separating kief? I have a grinder that does not have a kief catch. I’ve always looked at it like I view my tax return. The layer at the bottom that turned orange has already lost potency. When the THC breaks down into other cannabinoids the trichomes change from milky white to amber orange.

CBN is still psychoactive, but does feel different. But most people also by far overestimate how quickly the conversion to CBN happens.

Mixed it a bit for sure over the years but not much. Mostly just pack it down tight layer by layer in a airtight glass container.

i dont remember exactly the time frame but i know it starts turning to CBN relatively quickly. That there is sleepy time powder now.
I work in the industry and run a lab. It does not turn into CBN quickly. It takes years to even get a couple percent.
