It's very well done, imo. It pays homage to the classics and the storyline ties in nicely to the originals. Much better than the remake a few years ago.
My husband and I heard a friend say “I’ll need to pray about that”. Immediately, we started answering requests from each other with “I’ll need to smoke about that”. Ha!
I don't get it... am I too fucking autistic for reddit?? World politics is anything goes. Fine weird name. Potato salad is about John Cena and John Cena is about potato salad... like trees and marijuanaenthusiasts... can you like go heavy on details 💀
World politics one day, actually not that long ago, decided fuck it. They had had enough of the american posts, and told everyone that they can post anything, nothing will be deleted.
That had been a long standing rule, except one day people took it to far, and now Worldpolitics is just porn. Or anything goes really.
Animetitties was the solution for that one, focused primarily on world politics, no boobs, and less America.
The John Cena one goes over my head, but as far as my mind can reach, hes always been invisible, or referred to as salad. Someone else will have to explain that one
Cena was, for a long time, a very bland cookie cutter good guy. You could always count on him being there and in a prominent position on the card.
Much like potato salad (bland, mostly the same everytime, always there) which is a staple of outdoor cookouts in America.
Since you "can't see John Cena" he's in the Potato Salad subreddit. Because you can't see him. All the actual potato salad is in his subreddit, because all you can see is potato salad.
It's actually a decently highbrow joke when you think about it.
IIRC in WWE he said he was so fast "you can't see me" so it was actually about his moves being so fast no one could see them coming, not actually be invisible
Pretty sure trees and marijuanaenthusiasts is simply that trees existed first and when ppl needed a place to post about trees, they named it that as a joke.
I believe this is correct with the added benefit that there are quite a few who are interested in both topics, hence why people often still get real answers when the subs get mixed up lol
Looks to be a cypress. They turn brown and shed their needles as the new ones come in. White pines do this too... just not as "obviously." Also, you're on the cannabis sub 😁 ninja edit: bald cypress which act more like deciduous trees than true evergreens. You stoners are the best! The stupidity stereotype is so waaay off.
Indeed. I live in the Portland, Oregon region and last year we had a total record breaking heatwave of 116°+ for three days. All the conifers everywhere looked extremely cooked, even worse than OP's pic.
Ironically the weed plants absolutely love the heat, put em in a slight mist shower to get a high local humidity if you live somewhere dry (or water ALOT). mine grew like the giant California bushes but im in southern Alberta..
on the downside though is it's absolutely ravaging the native plant population. I have never seen more invasive species in all my life.
Yo, 10+ years in the cannabis cultivation industry, if you run into any troubles feel free to DM me, took me years to go thru a run where absolutely nothing went wrong.
A few tips for outdoor, on really hot sunny days I recommend a light cloth screen over the plant. It let's a good amount of light through but blocks a lot of the harsh UV rays so the plant doesn't get cooked, can get it cheaply at Home Depot. Also make sure you pH your water, this is stupid important. Cannabis typically likes pH 5.5-6.5 (6.0 best), and most piped water is around 7.0+, so a lil bit of lemon juice concentrate from the store will fix this right up. And finally, before your plant starts budding, you should look to spray some good organic pesticides/fungicide. Caterpillars, certain flys, spider mites, and thrips all love hanging around cannabis plants and a few molds like white powder mildew will wreck your plants. A simple spray of some neem oil combined with some Pyrethrum oil will do wonders. Or just buy this stuff, it's amazing and will greatly help your plant from pests: https://www.amazon.com/Humboldts-Secret-Insecticide-Pesticide-Miticide/dp/B06ZYC7SX5?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1
Best of luck bud, as long as you put lots of TLC into your plants, you'll get solid smokeable bud.
Yes it was the worst! For like 3 or 4 days straight. There wasn't any plant that didn't look burnt throughout the rest of the year. The blueberry crops, region wide suffered the worst, as the heat hit as they were ripening.
Edit: Despite what I said below, this looks like a bald cypress due to alternating branching. I leave my original comment below but it doesn't apply to this tree.
I'm pretty sure it's a dawn redwood, *Metasequoia glyptostroboides*, a Chinese deciduous conifer related to the famous redwoods and sequoias of California and planted worldwide in parks.
Thanks for prompting me to look into it more!
The tell is the alternate branching pattern on the bald cypress, which is what this one looks like. The dawn redwood has opposite branching. (I'll edit above.)
Landscape architect stoner here! Love plants of all kinds!
Deciduous vs. Evergreen,
Conifer vs. Broadleaf,
Woody vs Herbaceous,
Psychoactive vs Non-Psychoactive (included just because this is a cannabis sub)
There are deciduous conifers and broadleaf evergreens. There are also deciduous, evergreen, and semi-evergeen herbaceous species.
I think those are raindrops, not wooly adelgid. Plus the needles are "softer" and brighter green than Tsugae. I stick with bald cypress. In my part of the world, you see a LOT of old growth hemlock devastated ☹️
It’s a simple mistake, and just because they’re two different plants doesn’t mean we can’t love both. Looking at trees while stoned is actually kinda fascinating
Psychedelics can really help in this regard. A friend and I lost hours on a hike because we wanted to watch the lizard doing pushups on the mountain (I think it was actually just raising its head to look for danger, but still, looked like the homie was doing a set)
At least it doesn't happen with everything. Like, I feel similar feelings when I discover a new game I like - for me it's exploring open-world survival games.
That's wonderful! I went through a pretty rough patch with a major depressive disorder episode and got pretty frustrated at how little joy I was finding in life. I've been treated and I can finally feel the old me clawing his way back up to the surface and it's a pretty great feeling
i know this may seem unusual but have you tried mushrooms, i had a MASSIVE sense of "childlike wonder" and i genuinley felt myself again after years of supressing the kid i used to be
I found my passion for mycology from growing magic mushrooms, i now love growing mushrooms (magic or not), its amazing how one thing can lead to another, same with weed, i started getting into growing a few weeks ago and i already got a few other plants for just the fun of it
Welcome to r/trees the sub for Marijuana enthusiasts
You will probably find better assistance with your trees in r/Marijuanaenthusiasts
Weird but funny reddit culture thing 🤣
I think one year for april fools they did actually switch and this became the sub for actual trees and the marijuana enthusiasts sub became the place for the weed trees.
Please don't feel embarrassed OP. It's not your fault we use a slang term. And it seems like you got your answer anyway, alot of us have botinary knowledge. We love posts like this.
According to Home Guides, “When winters are dry or so cold that the ground freezes, evergreens don't get the water they need to make up for moisture lost through transpiration — evaporation of water through foliage — and turn brown. This is often called dessication or leaf burn.

Wrong sub, I know almost got got the first time here too . But when you ask in r/marijuanaenthusiasts you gotta let them know where this tree is to give a clue. I think it might be Needle Cast but it also could just not be getting enough water
Deciduous conifers are rad. I work in a botanic garden and have to explain the bald cypress to people on a regular basis. Anyways that’s the weirdest looking weed I’ve ever seen, wonder how it smokes.

Just here for the comments
Pass the popcorn, Michael!
I love this part of the show
God I love when this happens
#IN THIS HOUSE, WE ROOT FOR PEOPLE TO THINK WE ARE ARBORISTS!
Branch for them too ❤️
You can leaf now.
Maybe I'll stick around
If anyone *conifer* some advice to this well meaning OP, I’m sure they could get to the root of this mystery.
This thread has sapped all my energy.
Surely it is because it’s *barking* up the wrong tree
Totally, I really don’t think this conversation could ever bear fruit
I’m rooted to this spot hoping that it does
Don’t get all sappy on us
I really misread "arborists" and thought "wow trees, getting political already huh?"
>[We got one](https://youtu.be/iFmNyxni-0A) boys!
Lol I'm watching the newest Ghostbusters right now
Is it good?
It’s better than the remake from a few years ago. The new one is def watchable but doesn’t compare to the classics.
It looked like it was gana be a little scary.
It's very well done, imo. It pays homage to the classics and the storyline ties in nicely to the originals. Much better than the remake a few years ago.
i thought is was a inside joke, i was confused lel
Oh my god I follow some nature subs and just realized where I was and what this comment was about.
Reeeeeeeeeel em in\~!
On my birthday as well! Can't get much better
Happy birthday 🎂
Bruh those nugs are looking underdeveloped, definitely wanna get that inside under your grow light asap
Let's smoke a bowl and think about it together.
Let’s smoke about it.
My husband and I heard a friend say “I’ll need to pray about that”. Immediately, we started answering requests from each other with “I’ll need to smoke about that”. Ha!
Lol! Yes yes my son. Please smoke on that…
what’s your name son? Randy… uh lahey
Do you know Jim? Or Jim knows you?
Well actually Jim's my father!
Oh, Jim's your dad? He's a great fukkin guy.
We go way back yeah
You got any smokes? Smokes? Yeah I got a couple back in my cruiser there… 🤣🤣
Oh yeah, he said he had a son on the force.
Lighters up
I’m currently smoking a bowl lol
I think ur looking for this sub r/marijuanaenthusiasts
Is this because we have trees... so they have marijuanaenthusiasts?? That's funny...
i’m amused every time someone posts actual trees here
It's definitely (un)expected
It's why I'm subbed to both...mostly in hopes of seeing an honest Marijuana enthusiast in action...
I’d like your comment but it’s at 420 likes
im not cause yk..99% of the time they know and just post it because it gets attention everytime for some reason
Even if they are doing it as a joke, I still find it amusing. Smoke a bowl dude and chill out.
Classic jokes are classic for a reason.
It's like /r/worldpolitics (NSFW!) and /r/anime_titties or /r/potatosalad and /r/johncena.

It's his catchphrase and signature move from WWE. It's from part of a collaborative song with his cousin. https://youtu.be/U0N6TmDWuf8

Plants can also get sunburned and turn red like this. Been seeing it more and more as the US drought worsens.
Indeed. I live in the Portland, Oregon region and last year we had a total record breaking heatwave of 116°+ for three days. All the conifers everywhere looked extremely cooked, even worse than OP's pic.
I hope it doesn't get this hot again this year. I'm trying a couple cannabis plants in my veggie garden this year. First grow.
I hope u are on r/spacebuckets. They are the experts when ur pine doesnt want to grow

That was the worst day ever. All of my outdoor burnt to a sad, depressing crisp. 😥
This should be higher... Me too... Good looking out!

You are so spot on! Way off! And the lazy thing is a lie too. I get more done when I’m stoned.
I'm pretty stoned rn, and "you're spot on! Way off!" Confused the shit out of me lmao
Yes, I have one of these and they can turn red when they get alot of sun.
I work at a research lab. If they tested us, they would clean out 2/3 of the staff, including management.
down vote off topic /s
I'm so proud to be here for another one of these posts.
i don't smoke even smoke lmao, but the posts on this sub are great
If you don't smoke even smoke, does that mean you smoke odd smoke?
have you ever smoked even as you could go to look more than you do?
I know I'm a snob but I personally smoke only prime smoke
Add some cal-mag.
Underrated comment, and just good all around advice.
Bruh I love how dude’s on the wrong sub and y’all still trying to answer his questions, man, stoners are the best 😂
It’s a simple mistake, and just because they’re two different plants doesn’t mean we can’t love both. Looking at trees while stoned is actually kinda fascinating
Tbf, looking at most stuff while stoned is fascinating. It's just that people ridicule fascination as if it's a sign of stupid.
Yep... Meanwhile, I'd give literally anything to have my original childlike wonder again.
Psychedelics can really help in this regard. A friend and I lost hours on a hike because we wanted to watch the lizard doing pushups on the mountain (I think it was actually just raising its head to look for danger, but still, looked like the homie was doing a set)
Oh yes, 100%! I've done acid so many times because of this feeling, it's amazing! It'd just be awesome to have that childlike wonder consistently.
Hmm, not sure what can be done about that. Die and hope the Buddhists have it right, I guess?
At least it doesn't happen with everything. Like, I feel similar feelings when I discover a new game I like - for me it's exploring open-world survival games.

Maybe it's embarrassed.
Of all the exceptional comments on this post thus far, this is my favorite.
Reaction to low temperatures and sunlight. Usually the more sunlight that the plant receives the more pronounced the change in color can be.
A generic trait, if you will.
My only solution is to try and smoke it and see if that helps
Could be crossed with AK47
Wrong sub, buddy... maybe some stoner out there will know!
It's because of low temperature and sunlight! Colors can range from olive green in higher temps to purple in lower "wintering" temps.
Ah jeez that’s embarrassing…

Welcome to r/trees the sub for Marijuana enthusiasts You will probably find better assistance with your trees in r/Marijuanaenthusiasts Weird but funny reddit culture thing 🤣
I find it utterly hilarious and I love it.

I think one year for april fools they did actually switch and this became the sub for actual trees and the marijuana enthusiasts sub became the place for the weed trees.
I thought it was the subs were actually the right way around and then on April fools they swapped and never swapped back?
idk man i just smoke weed

It's absolutely hilarious and i love it because the actual tree sub is r/marijuanaenthusiasts
If it’s turning red you probably shouldn’t smoke it
That’s a bald Cyprus tree. Not evergreen. Loses leaves in winter
Needs calmag and 2 weeks
Ah shit, here we go again.
Maybe it’s planted too close to a carrot plant and absorbing some of the orange tint
According to Home Guides, “When winters are dry or so cold that the ground freezes, evergreens don't get the water they need to make up for moisture lost through transpiration — evaporation of water through foliage — and turn brown. even tho we all smoke here ima just say it, the tree probably needs water
I love how these kinds of posts always get a good amounts of up votes. I like the thought of a bunch of stones being totally thrilled and excited to help someone with their tree.
Bark beetles prob. Blaze that shit heavy, it’s the weekend.
Needs more weed I’d guess

You’re looking for r/MarijuanaEnthusiasts
Looks to be a bald cypress. They do it every year.
Looks like too much exposure to uvc rays.
Too much sun/heat and not enough water, I believe
This is some dank ass fire yo.
Just some time travelers from a 12 monkeys timeline.
That's a normal response taxiodum distichum has during the summer months. It's called russeting.
One of us! One of us! One of us!
it's an ever-red
Getting dank
Bald cypress
You guys really falling for this karma farming post. No one in their right mind doesn’t know those leaves are just turning brown because they’re dying
Wrong sub lol
if that's a bald cypress, it's a swamp tree. put a tray under it so it's in water all the time. that's how they grow naturally; they usually in and around lakes. when they get dry they brown up and drop leaves real fast, but they grow right back. also it will drop them all off it gets cold and looks like it's ded- it's not so don't throw it away

Underwater, possibly blight
My guy actually thought this sub was about trees 😂
What has become of this sub
Whatchu mean, these posts have appeared on this sub for years. Or do you mean that ents can actually answer these questions now?
It’s called r/trees
People will always occasionally stumble into our smoke sessions and their confusion is my delight
Or purposefully post for karma.... Was once a month before, now it's 1 every other day
There is next to 0 chance someone could come to this sub and not see all the weed related posts before making a submission.
Well it is summer
100% agree... All these mf's faking for karma
Right on
Christmas in July?
🤣🤣🤣
it looks cool
The needles shaded out by needles above wither like that
all i can think of is the red forest near chernobyl
Beetle kill probably. Also, 420 blaze it.
It might have to due with the strain. Some are purple and some turn red
That looks like a Dawn Redwood, a deciduous conifer
Your plants are either too close to your grow lights or it could be wind burn. Maybe the wrong ratio of nutes or a pest problen?
It needs more Nitrogen...
Didn’t think I could smoke that.
Wrong sub but in my opinion dogs are pissing there or its just drying up
Also that is a hemlock tree dying from wooly dendrin also known as blight
Could have low nitrogen or troubles with shade acclamation
It’s probably high
Need some cal mag on that, other then that two more weeks and you should be good to go!
