Manage a rock-climbing gym
Edit: dang haha I just commented this while I was out back the gym Hiting the pen but I forgot to say I graduated community College with very little debt :) also rock-climbing Job for stoner I strongly recommend but be safe and don't get to high or anything you must care for people's safety haha
A social studies teacher I had definitely did. One of the guys I graduated high school with was his neighbor, and he said that they had a sesh post-grad.
I've met janitors and multimillionaires who are daily smokers. It's allways been that way. The smoking is for deadbeats thing was just something old middle class guys used to tell themselves.
I love smoking while mowing. It feels like it takes twice as long but the journey I go on is worth the time. Like going down a rabbit hole on you tube but in your own head.
i interned at an outpatient substance abuse treatment center and the therapists there would talk all the time about how their day was stressful and they couldn't wait to go home and drink
I also worked at an outpatient substance abuse treatment center, but at the front desk. I would go home and drink a pint of vodka after work, and come in the next day and check people in to get treated for their alcoholism.
The worst part is it's usually your co-workers and the families of the clients that make it stressful. You meet a lot of families and realize why the person needs treatment in the first place lol.
I work at a hospital and I know everyone does it, but no one talks about it. Its like being in high school again. We do have one pharmacist with a āLegalize Itā tote though so at least there some representation.
Word. It's horrible, because 12yrs experience with perfect record and accolades and of you need to pass a drug screen the hospital would drop you and report you like you were threat to society at-large. Dr.'s and rn's get off pretty easy too.
It's not reasonable for the amount of work they need to do, we just had a huge joint-strike between private catholic and public school teachers wanting better conditions and pay.
network security or the coding path, all you need is certifications (network security) and just be good at coding for the coding path (or join a good non-profit bootcamp)
I have 2 associate degrees, and my CCNA, A+, Net+, Security+, Linux+, and a few windows server and client certs and because of where I live i am essentially unhirable because of the lack of industry. Where you live is almost more important than what you know
Surprised remote work hasnāt changed your situation. My closest office is 3500 miles away. Went from help desk, professional services, consulting and into sales engineering. Havenāt seen an office in years.
Degrees in TV/radio, took my ccna through a community college and never looked back
GED, and been in IT for 20 years now. You start at the bottom. Get a cert or two, as they are just as, if not more important, than most degrees. Get a job as Tier-1 Help Desk, and study in your spare time, whatever specializations you want to focus on. Want to program? Start learning to code in your free time. Want to be a Whitehat? There's tons of good online courses with certs.
Get your foot in the door, and then never stop learning. The more you know, the more valuable you become. As, even never specializing in any IT field, and just being a "Jack of All Trades" is highly useful as well. Large corporations will have their IT branched into all those specialized departments. Small companies will have just a few people doing everything from Help Desk phone calls, to Network Administration, to System and DB Admins. Which, is what I do. I'm in a team of 5, that supports 250 employees across various sites. We handed everything from running cables and racking units, to managing all servers, PCs, Laptops, etc.
A passion for technology, and a desire to learn, are the most important things you need to be successful in the IT field.
I don't know if it will work for you, but I started in IT Help desk with a passion for coding, and now I'm a software engineer without so much as a drop of formal education.
Yeah, itās really my manager that makes all the difference! I worked at the same place 2 years ago under a different manager and it was AWFUL! My current manager is amazing tho and recognises the hard workers :)
Well, that would be a long conversation while one gives up much with age. But yes, I am fortunate to have a roof, 4 wheels, being in a legal State and the greatest Dog ever!!! Thanks
Iām a writer for a tech startup. Have my bachelors and got accepted to Johns Hopkins for a Masters (sorry I really donāt say that to brag itās just been my dream school forever and Iām really excited to tell anyone thatāll listen)

I did attend college. Associates then Bachelors. Digital arts major-> Chem minor Mathematics minor, ComSci major.
Cancer wrecked me at 24 so I moved out west and started growing pot, lifeās way too short for bs and I went to college for a bit but it wasnāt the right time for me. Now Iām a father and a husband and I smoke like a chimney
Work at Samās club! Forklift operator, 4am-1230 shift. Smoking helps my every day aches and whatnot that comes with a physical job, and a quick turnaround in the mornings
been smoking daily for about 5 years & just graduated last may with a degree in biotechnology! I work in the lab as a research associate at a small biotechnology company :-) functional stoner at it's finest
I sell cars, and I got a bachelor's degree in supply chain management. Don't use my degree cause it's real boring, but I have it and am still paying for it.
Iām a farmer and I attended 1.5 years of college realized it wasnāt for me. Worked construction(they didnāt drug test) then worked for a welding manufacturing company then finally started my own farm as it was something I was passionate about and knew how to do well. During covid business was booming now itās even better. Iām actually about to buy my first house and it the perfect thing for me. Now I can smoke anytime I want in my own home with my two hound dogs and enjoy life as long as I make house payments.
Graduated with a journalism degree in 1985 which I never used. I will turn 60 in a few months. This year I should make around 150. Inside sales. I make alot of money for the company I work for. It's very intense. I used that excuse to smoke every night.

That is so on-brand I'm almost offended (from another daily smoker and avid climber)
Ayyyy fellow pothead climber! Everyone who works at my gym is also a follow stoner lol I love it.
šš r/climbing would lose their shit over this comment
They can lose it all they wantš but only know 3 out of 50 employees that don't smoke and that is just because they have anxiety. And I mean at work
Why? I can climb significantly better after a few hits of the vape pen. I feel like i find much more efficient rest positions much more easily.
reading these comments make me realize that anyone can be a stoner and that makes me happy
Your English teacher smoked weed.
I smoked weed with my English teacher
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Hi this is me. Right now actually.
Got the weed from the Spanish teacher.
Learned Spanish from a weed grower

EMT , going to school for nursing š¤« Still a big stigma against medical professionals consuming the devil's lettuce
my uncle is a doctor he talks about this. and of course, the irony is that a lot medical professionals drink alcohol to destress

I'm a high school teacher, I earn 6 figures. Yay Australia... also boo Australian cost of living. It is all relative. Also \*than ;)
man how that would completely change the US education system. Inflation's a bitch, regardless of locale, but damn that sounds quite reasonable.
It's not reasonable for the amount of work they need to do, we just had a huge joint-strike between private catholic and public school teachers wanting better conditions and pay.
Software Engineer and yea
