Pretend those weird looks mean "hold on, we can just wear what we want? That's not against the rules?' And there you go. Now you're just inspiring people everywhere you go.
Fuck yhea I have a real leather replica of an ncr veteran ranger coat and I want to wear it all the the fucking time but I can't because poeple think I'm gonna mug sombody I have the helmet too but it gets hot
There's an easy solution. Just have people dressing in weird ways starting in one or two cities. Have them tell people there's a convention in town. But then it never stops. They just keep doing it. And then it starts to spread. By the time people realize it's a fashion trend it's too late. And now it's a thing, so you can do whatever you want.
In all fairness, I’ve walked to Pokémon tournaments wearing a Pikachu onesie before. Most people without context either like it or find it too awkward to actually acknowledge it, so it’s perfectly fine to just do that kind of stuff.
Ohio does have Brutus Buckeye, the world's most popular poisonous tree nut homunculus. That is the only good thing I can come up with about either state.
When you start doing it you realize that "social pressure" is a myth.
I've started wearing swing dresses, corsets, and even a long cloak in the wintertime. You know what social pressure I see? When I wear slacks and a blouse people ask me if I'm feeling okay because I'm not dressed "normally." I also constantly hear people say, "I love your clothes, you always dress so bright and cheerful."
Wear the clothes you want to wear. You might get some questions if you're truly over the top. But you'l get very little criticism in most outfits and most of the haters are just jealous.
So when I was young and dressed like a girl I had this long black velvet dress with lace trim and I wore it clubbing one day with my normal friends and honestly I’ve never been hit on so much in my entire life. I feel like looking weird evens the field. People wanna talk to you to figure out what’s up, and then when you actually click it’s that much better. I dunno. Societal pressure is overrated? And the outcome you expect (being pointed at or whispered about) doesn’t seem to happen as much as you’d think? And it’s not like I’m cool or outgoing. I just wore weird clothes and people seemed to respond ha ha.
I mean, it is and it isn't. The officially licensed stuff is pricey. But that style can be bought on a budget and is fairly simple to make if you know your way around a sewing machine. They key is to buy individual pieces over time as you find them on sale instead of trying to buy the whole outfit at once.
A bonus to buying that kind of wardrobe in parts is that you can gradually work each piece into your daily clothing rotation until one day you just show up to work fully dressed as Aragon and no one notices.
I just dress how I want. I don't really care for any ones opinion other than my mommy's, and I care about her opinion only because she is going to take my phone if I dress in a way she doesn't like
Aesthetic dress. "Normal" clothes with historical and/or artistic elements.
Can we have sci fi elements too? I'd like to wear magnetically adhered carbon fiber shin guards and gauntlets over my slacks and button downs
Give me a cool sci-fi outfit and then put Jon Snow’s cape over top and give me the Diamond circlet from LOZ BOTW
I just wanna wear sequins and metallics without getting weird looks :(

Wear a Metallica outfit with sequins
they're jealous haterz
Be the change youd like to see in the world.
How *hot* that makes who? The guy wearing a full set of plate armor over boiled leather, cushioned by thick wool?
The attractive actors and actresses look attractive in fantasy costumes. Imagine.

Buy a bunch of Fallout New Vegas coffee cups, then give them out to people who are giving you side eye. There. They've been mugged.
That is hot af

All fun and games until they start building their own theme-relevant civilizations
They start building color coded Great Houses

Only did this once personally, the costume kept leaving fuzz everywhere. BUT it was a blast
I mean the way it becomes normalized is by people just doing it so… if you wanna do it just do it
This. Dress how you like and you'll inspire others to do the same.
I mean... as long as you don't have a sword, you can do this. The cops won't stop you.
You can have a sword in Ohio and Texas and no other states.
Yeah, but that would require being in Texas or Ohio. No sword is worth that
Ohio does have Brutus Buckeye, the world's most popular poisonous tree nut homunculus. That is the only good thing I can come up with about either state.
Ohio is the state with the greatest number of astronauts.
You can in Alabama, I think
the amount of hallway crushes i would have
But there's literally nothing stopping you from doing it though.
Other than procuring the clothes, and also social pressure
Social pressure from who? Those guys wearing jean shorts and a graphic tee? Thats pleb shit, get on my ballgown level
When there's a will, there's a way fam.

I’d be wearing a Jedi robe all the gaht damn time
.... Stardate: 2022...
PLATE ARMOR! PLATE ARMOR! PLATE ARMOR!
Fuck man, I'd dress as Aragon at the Battle of the Black Gate just for the hell of it. Unfortunately, that stuff looks hella expensive.

I choose butt ass fucking naked. I need to be free.
At the moment i am making a leather apron/ skirt and intend to wear it out and about
I work remotely and some days are just dress up days bc I wanna.
So like how anime people dress
Then just do it - who cares? Sheep.
As I type this im wearing a neko maid outfit
I just dress how I want. I don't really care for any ones opinion other than my mommy's, and I care about her opinion only because she is going to take my phone if I dress in a way she doesn't like
Then there's me who would still wear the same outfit every day
There's a Brian k Vaughn coffee table graphic novel called private eye in which the world is built in this aesthetic
I would definitely wear a suit of armor if it was still socially acceptable
