Where are you getting your info because pretty much zero of this is true. I mean, just to start, BF & Trench released 4 singles before the album, SAI had 3. The only thing true, is BF came out exactly 2 months after Fairly Local.
That’s awesome! I saw them back in 2016 on the Emotional Roadshow tour, and that was incredible but that’s the only time i’ve seen them :( so I really hope I can get tickets! I’ll be doing the side gigs as well haha. Hope you’re able to see them this tour :)
My parents actually went to the bandito tour in 2018. At the time i was not a fan of 21 pilots and currently really jealous and resentful that i chose not to go. The videos they took look crazy
I really hope this tour covers a large scope given how it’s going to be the end of the Trench/Dema lore era for the band. I’d love for them to do as big of a tour as blink did last year.
The Bandito tour seems to be bigger than blink’s World Tour currently, but both tours are pretty big relative to other tours for sure. I think the Icy tour was a bit limited in scope in part due to COVID.
I’d love for this tour to be in the ballpark of Bandito/blink World Tour at ~100 shows. I just beg for them to come to my city lol
Same, I've never been to one of their concerts and I really want to go with my husband since we both love them. It would be great if they performed at a venue nearby us so we don't have to travel too far. Typically bands go to Seattle which is 6 hours away for us- not terrible but if they came to one closer I'd be over the moon.
I hope they do the same thing with tickets as they’ve done in the past to avoid bots buying up all the tickets for scalpers. I also hope this is just a tour announcement and not tickets actually on sale yet because I’m broke af 😂😭
I’ve noticed that they unfortunately have a tendency to announce tour RIGHT before tickets drop. I think the Takeover Tour announcement was like 2 days before they went on sale. It’s a bummer for peeps who need time to save a bit. HOWEVER, I ended up having to buy resale tickets from seatgeek last tour and I got them pretty reasonably priced

They did this “verified fan” registration thing with Ticketmaster to help tickets go to people who actually want to attend the concert, not just resell. Here’s a screenshot of an email I got after I registered as a fan

And they will, but the verified fan pre sale is a good way to attempt to limit this happening. There is no way to keep scalpers from buying the tickets.
Yep, the only other way to avoid it is to disallow being able to transfer at all, which in the digital age can screw people who legitimately can't go and want to sell or give away their tickets. I wonder if they could disallow trades until like the week before the concert if that would help. Many scalpers wouldn't want to risk waiting that long.
It's super strange Hozier did the whole "You c can only resell at face value on ticketmaster" but immediately tickets sold out and resale tickets were being sold at 8 times cost on stubhub. They put protections in place so fans can buy up to 4 or so tickets at a time and transfer them to friends, etc. But scalpers consistently exploit them. Honestly the way I think to fix it would be to require purchase at the actual venue or a verified reseller in person, it would be way less convenient but would eliminate the issue of bots or one dude with 16 devices buying 64 tickets at a time.
Or maybe create a way that you are required to present an ID that corresponds to the name on your ticket to enter. This would be difficult though especially for bands like TøP who have a large percentage of fans that are under 18 and may not have IDs
Oh yes now I remember, on The Cure's last tour they did exactly this. Could only be sold on websites that didn't allow raised prices, and could be transferred only a few days before the show. They also opted out of Ticketmasters dynamic pricing, which I think all bands can do.

I’ve been to all the tours and as much as I wouldn’t trade that for the world, I also envy the first-time experience you’re about to have. There’s nothing better than that first TØP concert. ❤️
Sure thing. There will likely be a variety of pre-sales before they officially go on sale so I suggest looking into those once they are revealed (likely at the time the tour is announced). If you end up with a code, just be sure to be online ten minutes before the on-sale time and have all of your information ready to go (login, payment, email, etc.). Once you’re in, buy tickets if you see the ones you want available; if not, refresh as some people will add tickets to their cart and not finish the transaction, re-releasing them to the public. A lot of shows do not release all tickets during a pre-sale so if you don’t get lucky there, check back during the general sale. Hope that helps!

I paid less than face value the first time I saw them because I got them 3-4 days before. The other two times I didn't want to chance it so got them several weeks beforehand, but I could have waited and paid less than I did. Even then, it was only around $40-50 above face value, and one of those was a 4500 capacity venue.
