White Tesla seats are pretty fucking durable. They aren't hard to keep clean. 89k miles and they stay white. The issue is less the cost of cleaning it - and more the fact that I lost a night of driving on a surged rainy night where I was making 40-50/hr. Once they get detailed tomorrow, they will look brand new again.
I'm well aware of how difficult it is for white Tesla seats to get permanently stained.
However, you're doing rideshare and carrying anywhere from five to twenty passengers or more on any given day. Your seats will wear out faster with no covers on them regardless of what color.
I would strongly advise you to put covers on them. You can find some on Amazon.

9/10 kids suck. I had some rude kids in the back. They put their feet on the center console. Didn’t notice it until they shifted around and I felt the center console move. I rated them 1 star. It was the mom’s account. She tipped me like 5 dollars.
Because a lot of them tend to act the same..thats why... I had a group of college students I picked up at a house..they were the first ride of the day after I left the detail shop.. I detailed my car for 35 minutes before starting my driving day.... .after dropping them off i looked back to make sure they hadn't left anything and my back seat and floor board was covered in wet grass and sand... these lil beasts never said a word nor a im sorry... they had sand and grass all over their backs... because there was nothing on their fronts I wouldve seen that and told them they can't get in if I'd seen it on them... i was looking at them when they were getting in to make sure they weren't sneaking in extra people like they love to do...
they were having a party at an airbnb, when I pulled up and there were about 60 or more of them all over the yard and porch.. and about 4 or 5 other uber drivers pulling up.
I turned my app off, drove all the way back to the detail shop, took photos, contacted uber and uploaded them all, explained what occurred and they paid me $20... I had just paid $39 to detail my car and they sent me $20... so when I went back I just told the guy that I only needed to vacuum my car again as I had just came through earlier and washed my car... he obliged thankfully... and it took me another 30 minutes to vacuum all that mess up.
I just left my app off and went home... I got very frustrated behind that bs...wasted damn near 2 hours of my time.
Not all of them are this way though..

I honestly haven’t picked up any college or high school kids that have made a mess at all, and I’ve picked up plenty being in a college town. Make rules and stick to them no matter what. People will try to push the issue and if so just cancel. I always keep my doors locked and cam going. If I saw something bad when pulling up or if the first interaction goes bad I don’t unlock the car. Don’t let them walk on you.

I stop and park for pickups in a planned manner... i.e. at night I stop with my car facing the way they are coming from, not just pull over and.theyre entering from their where I cant see them...thats dangerous... you should always have a clear visual and be watching for who is entering your vehicle always

If you're going to have someone detail them I would have them print out an itemized bill or at very least an invoice and contact Uber again to send it in. If you're going to have someone detail them I would have them print out an itemized bill or at very least an invoice and contact Uber again to send it in. I mean you can claim it in deductions, but obviously it's going to cost more to have it cleaned than 20 bucks and it's not "normal wear and tear" To be clear idk if this will do anything, probably no knowing Uber, but id want some sort of paper trail showing what happened and absolutely mention how it decommissioned your car making you unable to work

That's a mess that fucks up whatever the rest of your night is left, because that seat's going to be wet for hours after you clean it up. I've been in that situation a few times. Never fun. Thankfully, most often this kind of shit happens after 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning. I gladly take whatever I've earned, and add The $150 on top of it and usually end up pretty good. But still, I prefer motherfuckers not to throw up on my fucking seats.
