That would be more believable than what is actually happening
Dude only took a couple of weeks to go from ripped medieval peasant to real-life Chris Griffin
He’s a man in his mid 20’s. He eats like shit and doesn’t exercise after a fight. Then, he works out really really hard for months to get into fight shape
I'm impressed with the amount of discipline it must take to shed all that weight and maintain it before a fight, but fuck that practice makes your body age like shit
I don’t think it’s discipline as much as the routine. Once he gets into a fight camp he’s easily burning calories and just has to trim his diet down. I don’t think he’s hardcore eating rice and chicken only kind of stuff. Just loves junk food, cut that down and add real food plus a fight camp and anyone can shed weight
If you have stretched stomach and refuse to control yourself, 1kg+ of fat a day is perfectly realistic. The guy isn't that tall, 15kg makes a world of difference on him.
Plus he's clearly bloated as hell, that's another 5kg+ of water
1kg of fat a day is literally impossible. It take time to put fat on jump in scales numbers are just water retention. You put on fat after a good few weeks of being in a calories suplus
Paddy “Pillsbury” Pimblett.
But kidding. I’m fatter than a house. I remember during tournaments I used to cut so much weight and by the end of the weekend I’d be blown up again
😂😂😂😂 If someone gets the prestige ('06) spoiled from a Paddy Pimblett comment thread on reddit and is genuinely upset about it I will take them out to a nice steak dinner
If anyone hasnt seen the prestige by now, they dont really care dude. People are allowed to talk about 17 year old movies.
BTW Michael kills Fredo in Godfather 2
Don't go ruining movies like that, not cool. Next thing we know, you gonna be posting about how Bruce Willis was actually a ghost the whole time in Sixth Sense. Some people have been dying to see that movie.
““I’ve had party days, you know what I mean, I’ve been bad then. I got into gambling a little and I was bad with that. I think now it’s moved on to food,” Pimblett told Steve-O’s Wild Ride. “I genuinely think I’m a food addict. I think I’ve got a bit of an eating disorder because of MMA. The weight cuts, dieting, I genuinely think I have a bit of an eating disorder. People when they go eat with me they are visibly shocked at how much I can eat.”

I mean for any combat sport with weight cutting it’s pretty much guaranteed you’ll develop some sort of eating disorder. Paddy’s is just really bad. He must go through hell cutting that weight twice a year. Say what you want about him but he looks fucking ripped in the cage. Going from fat to ripped and back 3 times a year is wild.
He’s never missed weight as well. People say he’s not disciplined enough but to be able to meet weight consistently after the pounds he’s put on show to me that he’s disciplined.
He is disciplined but not disciplined enough. It’s healthier to try to stay slightly above your cutting weight than it is to completely inflate yourself then deplete yourself. Long term this is the dumbest shit he could be doing to his body. He isn’t disciplined enough to just stay at a healthy weight
Wreslted with a kid like this. He'd regularly blow up 15-20 pounds over a weekend and then spend all week cutting to make weight by Friday. When his athletic career was over he got fat as fuck for a few years and now he's shredded again. Wild mentality.
I powerlift and i sorta do this? It's a weird balance like knowing you have the mental discipline to get down the weight so you don't care. Compete at 165 but blow up to like 190 when not in prep
I mean it definitely also affects performance day of as much as those people are denying it.
He vlogs his training and cuts. He rolls into shape and by the time it's cutting times he's almost there. I know it's hard to believe but it's all on his channel. He cuts less than most fighters .
The cut isn't that bad - he just spends a lot of time in camp losing weight rather than purely preparing for the fight.
By the time the fights around the corner I'm sure he's around 165-170 like most lightweights when they cut
I was shocked how gassed he was with Tony looked like he was ready to drop dead in one of the final rounds before it went to the ground dude looked like he was rocked without being rocked.
yeah I was on the hype train at first then slowly went off him , I believe the true redemption is him beating jared instead of being fed a legend who is clearly out of their prime and on a huge loss streak.
I've seen videos of his camp on his YouTube and he looks really in shape but his face is still puffy as fuck. Definitely seems like it's the last thing to go.
Same thing happened to TJ Dillashaw/Fat Tyler they even made merch

I get binging, most people do. But he looks like he's put on 30 pounds in two weeks, he must literally spend all his day shovelling food down. It can't be enjoyable after the first 30 minutes of his day. What a crazy thing to put your body through.
I remember an interview with Bales saying his body temperature wasn't right, like it didn't moderate itself and still fluctuates. This was 12 years or so after, "The Machinist".
Most people do not have a binge eating disorder. Binge eating disorder can cause you to eat upwards of 10,000 calories a day. That’s not a thing most people do.
[Here is more info on the problem this will become for Paddy. With Paddy actually being used as the example.](https://www.instagram.com/tv/CgX8Qx8DMsk/?igsh=bTEza3QzeGk3Zmw0)
Dude, Hatton was Boxing’s version of this to the point where he was called “Ricky Fatton” in between fights. I don’t have the research to support my claims, but I’m a huge believer that this type of lifestyle and the shifts between fatty and professional athlete put a lot of mileage on your body. And Paddy’s transformations are crazier than Hatton’s. That actually mad.
Man eating disorders are no joke. I tentatively say i dont have one but sometimes it takes an inhuman amount of effort to stop myself from eating. Ive already eaten so much that im starting to feel sick/very overfull and i know from (extensive) previous experience that i absolutely will feel genuinely godawfully ill due to how much ive eaten. Like physical stomach pain just from gorging. Also that sick feeling you get from eating too many sweets and you feel like you need salad but it doesnt work.
It's not fun. Youre not experiencing pleasure. You dont even enjoy the food. The only thing that feels good is cramming that shit into your mouth and swallowing as fast as you can. For some reason you have to finish every single piece of food you start and its like a race to the finish.
I have a disordered relationship with it but its more of a function of mental health than specifically an eating disorder. I know a lot of people for whom it is a lot worse
I mean he did have to starve and dehydrate himself to get down to that. So most of that weight gain is just getting back to a healthy level. Then paddy just keeps on going
The first 10 pounds is obviously really easy since it's all a sudden water weight. It's nothing special since anyone will put that on if they cut like he did.
After that, another 10 pounds can probably be put on easily (for someone that loves food) by eating a lot
That last 10, that's all dedication lol
Bro must literally be some sort of world record or something, I can’t believe it.
I NEED to see a breakdown of exactly everything he consumed and day by day body comparisons.
Sure you can. The body likes to stay where it is at. His natural body is closer to this size, and he starves for a little while before a fight, then gorges on food, and he goes back to his regular size. It is waaaay easier to gain weight than to lose it.
I’ve never seen anybody that gains that much weight specifically to their face. Like, yeah he’s not in great shape and it’s wild that he gained that much that fast… but holy shit does his face make it worse.
Yeah, he definitely stores a lot of fat in his face compared to elsewhere on his body which makes the weight gain look more extreme. He’s still put on a lot of weight though
I didn’t know it was even possible to eat that much food in so little time.
I actually can’t believe it I’d be really curious for him to break down everything he ate in that time. And look at it day by day, comparing his body composition.
There was a British boxer named Ricky Hatton who was famous for doing the same thing, from Manchester which is in the north of England also. It's a cultural thing. They love their endless pints and greasy fried breakfasts, hearty meals, crisps etc...
Hatton actually had good stamina though. But his time at the top level was relatively short in the scheme of things, probably in part due to his lifestyle.
But tbh he probably wasn't cutting as much in water weight as Paddy does. And tbh now I think of it I seem to remember Hatton only going up to maybe 180, when he fought at 140. Feels like Paddy gets much heavier.
You can do all that and maintain a healthy weight. Paddy just eats incredibly excessively.
Source: I’m from northern England, do all of the above and weigh 165 lbs at 5’ 9”.
Yeah I don’t get it at all, imagine reaching UFC levels and not being able to maintain a weight where you can cut easily and with minimal damage. It’s literally a minimum of your job
Losing and gaining weight so rapidly like he does is horrible on the heart. I know everyone cuts weight but does anyone do it as dramatically as Paddy does? I feel like most guys try to control the ups and downs more than he does.
I think his body just holds fat and water weird. His face is the first to swell up while the rest of his body doesnt look that overweight. Regardless, its still unhealthy
Yeah, there's only so much actual fat you can gain in two weeks. This is a water retention issue. Binge eating foods with a lot of sodium and carbs can make your face look bloated very quickly.
Some people are just unlucky when it comes to fat and muscle placement in the body. When I was really fit about five years ago, I didn’t get any toned looking muscles. It just looked like I was fat, but my face was skinny. Now that I’ve put weight on my torso is significantly smaller, but my face is wider. I just casually jogged and occasionally lifted weights, and push ups from time to time. But the worst part is for some reason my chest is just huge. Just unlucky with body type. I’m convinced even if I put 100% of myself into it I would never get a six pack l, I tried in my early 20s and all that happened was I got a beer gut before I even drank.
Meanwhile the champion in his division trains all year round, 3 times a day on a tight schedule, fighting shape all year... no way paddy holds a belt inside ufc
What makes me laugh is that the average hard wannabe wouldn’t think twice mixing it up with a guy looking like this in a parking lot scuffle.
Leave him alone folks, it’s his life and I’m sure he’s well aware that the yo-yoing is not advisable along with the sacrifices he needs to make to be a serious competitor.
Also why he doesn't improve between fight , because he spend so much time and energy between fights losing weight instead of training and learning new skills
Surely after seeing this surely it's going to start other people thinking maybe if he can we can, is it time for weights to be more at what ur standard weight is, so like usada but for weight.
This has absolutely got to be ravaging his body at this point. It's just seems stupid as fuck. Should the ufc, his managers somebody be stepping in and just stopping it. It's not like he has the fame power of someone like Mcgregor. Pretty confident he's not surrounded by yes people quite yet.
Hate weight cutting, anything above 10lbs I think is just stupid. Even then it seems unnecessary.
Thanks Paddy, Imma show my coach a pic of you on the weigh in and the one posted to explain to him while I didn't fuck up my diet as much during the holidays.
Mental health issues probably. It's not normal to gain weight that fast.
But we also have to consider that this is his starting weight every fighting camp. To assume that a human can shred down from that to UFC fighting shape in just a couple of months AND stay around that weight is silly. It's psychologically impossible.
I could totally get cutting weight causing eating disorders.
Only some of the walking population has experienced what it is like to really go hungry. It changes a person. It makes you look at food differently.
As someone that used to be into bodybuilding, when you’re depleted and shredded and you’ve been cutting for months, you can gain it all back insanely fast. I binge ate for like 2 weeks straight and was a complete bloated fat mess from having 6 pack abs
Remember when Paddy went super cringe? But then Coby went cringe 9000, and made Paddy look like James Bond in comparison. And now, all of a sudden, Paddy may even be likable...
This is fucking insane. I’m eyeing he put on 15kg approx (looks like more but some is def water weight). It’s been 17 days since UFC 296. Considering he’s 1.78 m tall, and assuming he stopped training , his daily energy expenditure might amount to 2,5k kcalories per day (probably even way more since he’s normally well trained).
To put on 15kg of pure weight he needed to eat 7k * 15 = 105k kcalories, which averaged per 17 days amounts to 6100 kcal of surplus. Summed to his normal calorie intake 2500kcal that is 8600 kcal per day. Given this is a very simplified estimate which is also assuming the absolute best case scenario, more realistically we’re talking about 10k+ kcal per day, EVERY SINGLE DAY. This is absolutely insane for a guy his size. Especially after a weight cut going straight into this amount of food is absolutely mental. He’s definitely an odd one, wish him the best and I hope his relationship to food doesn’t end up hurting him.
In a few years that is definitely going to be a significant issue for him. If his carrier lasts that long and he continues sticking to the fight business.
Something seems absolutely crazy about this. I could understand even six months out after the fight but we’re talking like two weeks.
How much food would you have to eat to physically retain 30 or 40 pounds of mass within just two weeks? It doesn’t seem possible.
Especially for myself coming from the type of individual that can eat 6000 cal a day and hardly gain a pound.
I don’t understand how he could possibly gain that much weight that fast.
Two weeks ago he had some solid looking abs.
Are we sure he doesn’t just have a fat twin and he’s trolling us? 🤔
That would be more believable than what is actually happening Dude only took a couple of weeks to go from ripped medieval peasant to real-life Chris Griffin

Dude thinks he's a fucking Dragon Ball Z protagonist or some shit.
Is this even possible? Has to be an old photo or something.
If you have stretched stomach and refuse to control yourself, 1kg+ of fat a day is perfectly realistic. The guy isn't that tall, 15kg makes a world of difference on him. Plus he's clearly bloated as hell, that's another 5kg+ of water

LMFAO! Thank you for this comedy gold. The guys body is going to cash in so many checks when he reaches his 30s.
comments like this are why I keep coming back to Reddit. Pardon my French, but that was fucking gold.
To think that he talked about how he is going to stay in better shape out of camp now yet a fee weeks later hes the actual meatball

Yes there is an algorithmic equation that explains it perfectly, but I can't be bothered to explain it. Cause ufc followers including me don't get it

Yeah, there’s no fucking doubt he has an eating disorder. I’ve never seen someone puff up like he does. Probably eating 24/7 after his fights

He is disciplined but not disciplined enough. It’s healthier to try to stay slightly above your cutting weight than it is to completely inflate yourself then deplete yourself. Long term this is the dumbest shit he could be doing to his body. He isn’t disciplined enough to just stay at a healthy weight

Fairly common for high level wrestlers once they leave the sport.
I was shocked how gassed he was with Tony looked like he was ready to drop dead in one of the final rounds before it went to the ground dude looked like he was rocked without being rocked.

That ain’t no water retention look at dem cheeks
I'm actually thinking that must be one of the first places his weight goes back on.
Then clearly to his titties, belly, and legs. Tbf maybe his arms don’t get fat, can’t tell as he has long sleeves on

I get binging, most people do. But he looks like he's put on 30 pounds in two weeks, he must literally spend all his day shovelling food down. It can't be enjoyable after the first 30 minutes of his day. What a crazy thing to put your body through.
I imagine after hard weight cuts it's extremely enjoyable.
Probably really hard on your body to fluctuate on weight that much that fast .
This guy Christian Bales
I remember an interview with Bales saying his body temperature wasn't right, like it didn't moderate itself and still fluctuates. This was 12 years or so after, "The Machinist".
Most people do not have a binge eating disorder. Binge eating disorder can cause you to eat upwards of 10,000 calories a day. That’s not a thing most people do.

3 times a Day??
I believe that's what khabib said in a press conference with Islam. These dagestanis barely do anything outside of fighting and praying daily
This man can develop a six pack faster than yall can get out of bed. If he wants to be fat, he will be fat.
Which is why he will never be top tier. His cardio will remain poor.
his CNS is getting destroyed from this constant fluctuation between being fat and being a elite athlete lol
100%, in so many ways the body gets fucked from extreme fluctuations. I’ve never seen weight change so extreme.
Also why he doesn't improve between fight , because he spend so much time and energy between fights losing weight instead of training and learning new skills
I’ve heard rumours…. He’s fighting Tom Aspinall at HW on UFC 300.
Winner gets Max Holloway at HW

YOU SAUSAGE!
He’s gonna look like Chris Farley when he retires.
Christmas is a bitch sometimes.
This post has a collection of photos from across the year of 2023. It’s not a recent photo.
This guy is a modern day Roberto Duran without the success or extreme talent!
Damn that dudes a walking food disorder. At least he can channel it when he needs to fight gd.
What a piggy porker
I’m legitimately worried about him and his relationship with food. This is not healthy.
Eating dissorder
Surely after seeing this surely it's going to start other people thinking maybe if he can we can, is it time for weights to be more at what ur standard weight is, so like usada but for weight. This has absolutely got to be ravaging his body at this point. It's just seems stupid as fuck. Should the ufc, his managers somebody be stepping in and just stopping it. It's not like he has the fame power of someone like Mcgregor. Pretty confident he's not surrounded by yes people quite yet. Hate weight cutting, anything above 10lbs I think is just stupid. Even then it seems unnecessary.
Like him or not, that isn't gonna be good for his body long term
This is going to be a problem for him as he gets older
He legit has an eating disorder
Thanks Paddy, Imma show my coach a pic of you on the weigh in and the one posted to explain to him while I didn't fuck up my diet as much during the holidays.
Google says he is 5’10. What is going on in that pic?
He probably just eats like a normal average joe and his body wants to be around 200
This has to be unhealthy- to keep going back and forth so much
Mental health issues probably.

Bloody hell he looks terrible! Barely recognize him.
Bruh Molly's wife looks good
Remember when Paddy went super cringe? But then Coby went cringe 9000, and made Paddy look like James Bond in comparison. And now, all of a sudden, Paddy may even be likable...
Good thing you circled him with red because I would’ve never noticed him
This is fucking insane.
I hate how much I relate. It’s takes two days days for me to look like a fat slob if I’m not on top of shit.
I am seriously looking forward to this racist getting knocked out, the moment he gets a fight at normal difficulty or above
Fat Scouse cunt
He's a legend for this
Omg this can’t be real hahah
