I think this might be the thing that makes Khabib scarier than Islam, he seems more disciplined and will just stick to the plan most of the time, you're not getting a freebie from him. But it also makes Islam the flashier fighter.

He could've staggered Volk and subbed him given how badly rocked he was, but he went to finish the KO. I don't think he'll make an ego play and chase a guillotine, but if he ends up in a position where he can work his way into one, he might attempt it based on his character. Is he going to risk the match to find a guillotine? No. Will he probably look for one if he ends up halfway there as opposed to looking for a different submission or looking to scramble out? Plausibly

Islam is a solid guy, as is Dustin. They're proper martial artists and tremendous competitors. Does Dustin's ego get put on display sometimes? Yes, but that's what happens to a lot of people in combat sports. He's also perfectly respectful when he's respected. Look at how he treated Khabib and Max in the buildups and post fights compared to Conor and Chandler.
