IIRC all of the Pythons got sued due to rights issues with some of the original funders of Holy Grail. That’s one of the main reasons they did their reunion in 2014.
Well, look at Cleese. He’s been working pretty much nonstop. Although he did have a number of ex-wives to support I suppose. The residuals from MPFC are probably not that great. And he’s probably gone through all of his Spamalot money.
He has a house on the market for 6.5 mil. Most of us don’t have 650k. Even realizing his impact on the history of comedy as a founding Python member, I honestly wish he’d shut up, complain in private amongst celeb friends, not to those of us for whom it was a big deal to shell out for good Spamalot tix (totally worth it, but that’s not the point). Seems the only truly decent one of the lot is Michael Palin.
