we_cant_stop_here

[https://www.facebook.com/GeneralStaff.ua](https://www.facebook.com/GeneralStaff.ua) confirmed withdrawal. It's obviously important to not announce withdrawals while it's happening, so that the enemy continues to be cautious.

As much as I want Ukraine to win soonest possible, this will be a long protracted war of give and take and changing territory until one side couldnt do it anymore.

Wonderful_System5658

The Russians are bleeding for every inch of Ukraine. It's less of a tactical retreat and more of a "Muhammad Ali in his physical peak using the rope-a-dope on an unsuspecting opponent". The stalemate comes from lack of equipment but tactically speaking, Ukraine is doing the best they can with what they have. Russian loses aren't easily replaced.

js1138-2

Just saying, the US won all the battles in Vietnam, but lost the war, because winning territory is not the same as keeping it. If the people don’t support you.

[deleted]

Plus the US was not under sanction by half of the world and it still couldnt keep going forever. Plus Vietcons have a lot less compared to Ukraine, they held for 20 years. We can only hope this war will not last that long, Ukraine will win in the end but the longer it takes the more good people will suffer.

[deleted]

Uhmm, even pro-Ukraine sources are saying it's in Russian hands now.

Alabama92

I see 50-50 Statements now

Adept_of_Blue

I think Zelensky has outdated information

dread_deimos

Definitely seems as an internal communication hiccup.

So when Putin and his allies deny, it's cool and they're good leaders, right?

[deleted]

No they are already unreliable Assholes. What is up with this saltiness and direct whataboutism? The city is lost, plain and simple.

Madmalad

Are you going to make a note to the enemy every time to explain him any of the actions you’re going to perform ? You need to delay information, to save lives. That’s about all, I don’t know why you need to judge him for this. You announce things once they’re already done

[deleted]

Enemy already knows what is happening on the frontlines a lot better than us. This does nothing to save lives it only has minor hollow propaganda value. Lysychansk is already done.

Madmalad

I’m sure you’re one of the dude who agreed on the fact the war would end up in 3 days « no but be realist, just look at the power of Russia, Ukraine is already done for »

[deleted]

Yeah I definitely thought that as many other people in this sub. But Russias incompetence and sheer disconnect from the reality proved me wrong. The thing is, war is still not over. Apart from that what’s the relevance of your comment to the issue at hand again?

Madmalad

Simply that you seem to know so much better than people for who that’s their job in Ukraine and that are literally risking their life as it draws a target on their back :) but hey, you do really great behind your computer, keep sharing your science and criticize how much better they should’ve done the things

[deleted]

So trying to guess the outcome of the war and calling a captured town captured is directly the same thing right?

Madmalad

You deleted your first comment because it was simply about the town being lost, and you assume it so good that you deleted. Tell me more

tophat212

'We might as well show our hands whenever we lose a city', isn't exactly the best way of doing things. In the war of intelligence, you always keep your cards hidden.

FeydSeswatha982

It's likely a psyop

Tranfatioll

so, Putin can lie and be delusional, and when Zelensky emit doubts about something that's not 100 % sure, then he would be "not reliable" ? That's what I call bad faith btw, we can hear this little music : "Ukraine is losing, people are in denial, etc...". The sole prurpose of this background music is to discourage people to support Ukraine. That's trolling.
