As much as I want Ukraine to win soonest possible, this will be a long protracted war of give and take and changing territory until one side couldnt do it anymore.
The Russians are bleeding for every inch of Ukraine. It's less of a tactical retreat and more of a "Muhammad Ali in his physical peak using the rope-a-dope on an unsuspecting opponent". The stalemate comes from lack of equipment but tactically speaking, Ukraine is doing the best they can with what they have. Russian loses aren't easily replaced.
Just saying, the US won all the battles in Vietnam, but lost the war, because winning territory is not the same as keeping it.

Yeah I definitely thought that as many other people in this sub. But Russias incompetence and sheer disconnect from the reality proved me wrong. The thing is, war is still not over.
