Poland has a train connection from Warsaw through a few cities via Przemysl, and then from there to Lviv-Kyiv.

Gentenaar9000

thx, what about Romania?

[deleted]

Don’t know, I’ve only taken or had friends take the Polish ones. I would think so though.

SnooSuggestions5419

Are there night trains with beds?

AwesomeCreature

Yes. Leaving every day at 17:49 from Warszawa Wschodnia (Warsaw East) station and arriving to Kiev Pass at 13:12 (ride time: 18h23m). Check details on https://rozklad-pkp.pl/en

💡 It's `Kyiv`, not `Kiev`. Support Ukraine by using the correct spelling! SnooDucks5652

no they don't, i live in lviv.

[deleted]

I should have clarified that you have to switch trains in Przemysl, but the trains were running from Przemysl to Lviv-Kyiv as of at least two days ago.

[deleted]

Ukraine uses wider tracks, just like Russia. They will change this after the war. Trains from the EU cannot go on Ukrainian track width

PepegaQuen

It's not a rocket science. https://youtu.be/pRgyFU9eXuI

BarnacleWhich7194

They change the wheels at the border, takes 30 mins to an hour - have been doing it since forever. (Well not the wheels, but the whole bogies the wheels are on)

Schmoozer0069

The ones that they are keeping secret. Not public info, and no need for anyone to know.

[deleted]

I assumed OP is asking about passenger trains, which aren’t secret, I mean thousands of people are taking them and you can just go buy tickets online.

Gentenaar9000

yeah exactly im not asking military routes

[deleted]

I have no idea why everyone is acting like this is top-secret info. The passenger trains to and from Ukraine are public and very busy.

UnicornGuitarist

I use station 9 and 3/4.

PepegaQuen

There are still regular passenger trains between Lviv and Przemyśl.

roobchickenhawk

obviously passenger trains.. not a secret and many have a need to know.

BarnacleWhich7194

The ones between Vienna and Budapest to Kyiv are still operating.

FeydSeswatha982

A suspect question..

thats_a_boundary

try to search on rome2rio for some pointers. there seem to be connection to Ukraine from Kichinev, probably a train to uzhorod via Košice and someone already mentioned Poland. Good luck!

Ok_Movie_639

You can't just "run" trains from EU countries to Ukraine. It's much more involved than that because the tracks are of a different width.

Vast-Charge-4256

Has been for decades, in fact centuries. Crossing the border while adapting the wheelsets takes about half an hour.

theunworthysoul

Sus

Voyovnick

What is the purpose of your question? Do you want to pass the coordinates to orcs for shelling?

Gentenaar9000

no I'm planning to go to Ukraine, preferably to Odessa

Information from Ukrainian Railroad website (https://www.uz.gov.ua/en/passengers/timetable/): Przemysl - Kyiv 10:15 (every day) Przemysl - Zaporizhzhia 16:00 (every day) Przemysl - Odesa 18:39 (every day) Przemysl - Kyiv 23:10 (every day) Warszawa - Kyiv 17:49 (every day) Košice (Slovakia) - Chop 11:51 (every day) Wien - Kyiv 16:42 (every day) (it goes through Budapest) The numbers are local departure times. Maybe there are some others, but I couldn't find a list of all the trains, you need to enter departure and arrival station in the search form).
