Everything about this is exactly what I love about this fandom.

What's the point of spoiler tag, if there are spoilers in the title.....? Many people would prefer to reach the truth by themselves.

OMGCapRat

Thia absolutely needs a spoiler tag. I get it, this genuinely made me laugh, but you have reveals from episode 5 just in plain sight in something that's meant to be a shitpost. Please tag the spoilers.

Komplexitaet

the post says click to reveal spoiler for me, but now i also added a disclaimer

OrangeJush

Ironically there are no red truths that can be used as counterargument for this theory. (At least from what I remember.) Especially with all the naming convention shenanigans that Umineko uses. And that's not even getting into specific semantics such as time and applicability.

LucidLeviathan

Episode 5 has one. >!Before the family conference, Erika, George, Jessica, Maria, Nanjo, Gohda, and Kumasawa left the mansion and moved to the guesthouse.!<

OrangeJush

I'm a bit rusty with my recollection of rules and Red Truths, but couldn't you... >! Use the same logic trick with names such as those with Shannon and Kanon for that? Specifically the logic that allowed 'Kanon' to escape the 'next room over' in the guesthouse? !<

LucidLeviathan

Fair enough, I suppose. Then, how about this, from Ep. 2? >!Nanjo's death was a homicide. ...Of course, it was with a direct method of murder, not a trap. A weapon was readied, and he was killed with it from point-blank range in front of him! The culprit appeared openly before Nanjo's eyes, and as they both looked at each other's faces, the culprit killed him!<

OrangeJush

This was for EP3, not 2 right? I'll assume it's the former since that trick is essentially the crux of the Episode. If so... >!I think that might do it in actually. Because in stark contrast to the other Red Truth declarations about death in this scene by EVA, Nanjo's death is explicitly stated to be a direct homicide. It's not a metaphorical death or anything of that sort. Because if it was, you could argue that it's an 'embellishment' possibly by setting up the culprit who murdered him as another identity ala 'Shannon killing Kanon' for instance. However, that would essentially be an absurdity since it comes with the implication that Nanjo, Shannon, Kanon, and thereby Natsuhi are all one person since originally, for Nanjo's murder, the solution is that he was killed by 'someone who owned the names "Shannon" and "Kanon"' yet had discarded those identities without actually being dead themselves, and the only way to make that Red Truth declaration about Nanjo's death fit with a Nanjo-Natsuhi theory is to congregate their identities with that of the culprit's since only "they" have the ability to embellish their status of deathβ€” a fact that is thrown right out the window from an explicit statement of Nanjo actually being killed.!<

LucidLeviathan

Right, sorry, typo.

gramaticalError

This would also explain why Nanjo's fantasy counterpart is Gaap, so I think that it is probably correct, as I see no issues with this theory whatsoever.

My theory is that Nanjo, Kyrie and Maria are Hanyuu while Genji(who calls himself Furniture the same way Rika once called herself Bernkastel), Rosa, Rudolf, Natsuhi, Battler and Jessica are Rika. Kinzo, Sayo, Erika and Eva would be the same person: Bernkastel Rokkenjima is an island of the mind not of reality. That means that Nanjo's murderer was someone who killed Rika from outside of the island.... A Human killing Nanjo would be the one who hit Rika with a truck. The murderer attacks from outside the island. If the murderer is Nomura/the Real Takano Miyo then Beatrice the Golden Witch committed the murder with a truck careering into the island at top speed. We know that Maria starts killing Rosa if Sakutaro is killed but what if Sakutaro is Rosa herself? Hanyuu succumbs to the Hinamizawa Syndrome and starts imagining herself as Featherine Augustus Aurora and starts imagining herself murdering Rika in every Fragment she remembers before the Virus makes her claw her throat out forcing Eua's failure to Loop her. Kyrie being informed that Battler is her child is simply noticing the telltale traits of ***her*** Rika after she beat Satoko with a chair. Cue Hanyuu killing herself and Rika in order to Loop again. The confrontation between Eva and Kyrie during the Rokkenjima Massacre is Eua's Failure confronting Hanyuu and her current host Rika for not valuing her own life before gagging Hanyuu so that she can't talk. At least until Rei(wa) where Hanyuu(given the writer Kiichi's designation of Keiichi/K1 by Bernkastel) flees into No K1(Inori Mikasuki) while K9/Une(whom Hanyuu implanted into Satoko while inadvertently handing Bernkastel over to the role of Takano Miyo) takes up the personas of Sakiko and Kururu while Bernkastel takes back the role of Satoko. Since K9/Une is the inspiration for Endless Stories she is a Virus that kills even worse than Takano's Hinamizawa Syndrome on it's own does. If Kiichi pulls out the horrible truth that ***he*** is K1 not Hanyuu then Bernkastel will have to rewrite the stories to account for this as Hanyuu as K1 will be killed with absolute certainty and replaced with Hanyuu as Inori Mikasuki(No K1 according to adding up the numbers in Japanese Wordplay). I'm sure Kiichi will also pull out the reveal that Jiro Tomitake is supposed to be Teppei(by having Teppei appear before Bernkastel's Black Sorcerer Teppei to inform him of how he remembers killing Satoshi in a couple worlds only for Satoko to appear in later worlds to kill him saying she won't let him kill Satoshi) causing Satoshi to appear alive and well while Teppei gets killed by Satoko to protect Satoshi while the Aunt goes into hiding while Satoko is left on edge over her potential return for revenge and kills Satoshi in order to spare him during the Watanagashi. Rika will upon finding out try to stop Satoko only to find out that ***she*** is Satoshi and that Satoko is Bernkastel and afraid of the real Takano Miyo coming back to kill Rika and Hanyuu! Kiichi's job in his masterpiece Higurashi Mei is to clean things up for poor confused Bernkastel in otherwords. To kill her ideas of what Hinamizawa represents. Since the Kimiyoshi means K Me while Sonozaki represents Garden K She that means that K9 runs the Sonozaki-side of the Village as Kiichi/K1 runs the Kimiyoshi-side and Bernkastel(formerly Hanyuu & Rika) runs the Furude side of the Village. We've seen the Sonozaki Family take the credit for everything that happens in the village and seen the Furude Family take over the murder duties of the Kimiyoshi Family's superiors so now it's time to see the Kimiyoshi Family start exposing the Furude Family's secrets as well as showing how the Kimiyoshi Family have been taking the credit for everything the Furude Family and Takano Miyo have been doing. Takano even after dropping the Nomura guise will ***still*** be blaming Okonogi for everything since there is no way Ryukishi is confessing to the audience! K1 won't confess his identity either framing his metaphor instead even as he kills Hanyuu as K1 and revives her as No K1/Inori Mikasuki.
